In fairness, it would be almost impossible for us to waltz into Garlemald in its prime, all things considered. By Stormblood, the WoL is more or less a household name.

I love FFXIV’s reliance on combos for melee classes. I’m an altaholic and have leveled each job to 80 and having those combos to help me remember basic rotations is a big help.

Vacuuming up all the comms in duty roulette is nice too.

Two things:

I’ll stand by the sentiment that Blizzard sucks and can eat me entire ass, but Yoshi’s sentiment overall is a good one.

Hey now! The first five or so episodes of that show were great!

It’s a miracle!

As if that list bit isn’t entirely plausible.

I’m not THAT old (Under 40) and we were still taught that horseshit in NH.

And also were responsible for the deaths of countless people.

Both of those things are gone pretty quickly. I’m almost done with the game and Adam has bugged me like, twice since the third EMMI.

Just think of it in terms of how media is cyclical.

I commented as much above, but having sunk a good many hours in already, I am in complete disagreement with the reviewer on that regard. I am all about the atmosphere.

Actually, none yet for me.

Going to lean in here and make note to anyone reading that the biggest criticism of this game is an entirely subjective one.

It’s pretty similar to the playground version, just rather than being ‘out’ if you move when looked at, you’re shot dead.

I mean, the upshot to that is that very few of the games force the lore on you.

I mean, 40-50 hours is, more or less, the standard for most JRPGs over the last three decades (With some notable exceptions on both sides of that, like Chrono Trigger or Xenogears).

“I liked it too.” - Me (Guy who watched the whole thing on Toonami way back when).

Fortunately, that’s not true. The producers have confirmed that Ed will be there. Realistically, Ed didn't show up until really close to halfway through the anime, so I would be surprised to see them show up this season.
