This sounds like a weird complaint, but man, that season pass just sounds like a lot of work to me. This is sort of why I checked out on the AC series not too long ago because I don’t think I have the time for them. Maybe someday I will give Odyssey or Origins a go. But I always seem to have other games I’d like to

I have never once paid attention to firmware numbers.  It seems like a weird thing to focus on.  If there are major updates to the system, we’ll hear about them eventually either way.

It’s a cycle that happens with every big game release.

I think it makes plenty sense.  Feel free to disagree.  I don’t care enough to argue about it.

Not really:

There’s over 25 other outfits you can get for Spider-man so even if you don’t like the costume w/ the white logo, you probably only have to put up with it for an hour or two.

Between Thanos and Cable, we’ve had enough Josh Brolin in geek-friendly roles lately.

That part of the review stood out to me too. I understand mentioning it, but then he went on a couple of paragraphs too many in my opinion.

The Messenger - awesome so far and funnier than I was expecting.

Slain isn’t that great.  Coming from someone who was looking forward to it once upon a time.

The linear portion sounds exactly like the NES era games it’s trying to emulate. Either that’s enough to grab you on its own or its not, depending on your tastes.  I grew up with those NES games so I’m perfectly fine with it.

How come this isn’t branded as an official Kotaku review? You played through the whole thing so it just seems odd not to give it the usual review treatment we see on the site. You’re pretty much 85% there already.

Just because it’s a PR move, doesn’t mean it’s bad.

Still no Shovel Knight King of Cards?  I figured a mention of that would’ve been a sure thing.

You’re free to hate it, but it’s totally minimal compared to some other controller monstrosities out there.

Um, I don’t think his nipples were as big of a deal as you seem to think it is. You seemed to see some overreactions on twitter and just decided to run with the idea.

It’s admirable to want change that type of behavior in kids/teens. To that I say: good luck.

I don’t have any data to back it up of course, but my general impression is a lot of these messages originate from younger/immature gamers. So to see the writer give it such serious attention so long after the fact makes the article fall a bit short in my opinion.

I don’t think they are that similar despite people comparing them a lot.

Nah, Kim won’t die.  That’s too cliched.  She’ll move away or something so she can return in the black and white Gene era.
