The art style/graphics in this game still look off to me. Hopefully they improve because I’m sure the gameplay will be solid.

They just released some interesting games today. The Messenger is out next week and there are definitely some cool looking games out in Sept/Oct/Nov, even if some have been released on other systems before.
Can’t wait for the Messenger next week.
Come now, Kotaku can’t be bothered with helpful details like that. The opinion part of it is all that matters.
Wow, we had very different experiences with the game. I found the thrill of discovery literally all over the place.
It’s not like the extra content it has over the special edition is going to be anything that amazing or something a person won’t be able to eventually buy separately anyway.
A lot of them are but this particular PS4 pulls it off in my opinion. It’s just the right amount of subtlety.
Haha, have you been on the internet lately? People get offended about everything, gamers included.
You act like it’s unplayable. The issue is seriously not that bad. I’m glad they released it now.
Out of everything they’ve shown, people still complain? Sheesh.
Maybe it’s not worth complaining about to most players.
I’m a pretty average gamer. The game isn’t THAT hard. Some of the things you mentioned did take me a bit to get adjusted to (the map system, getting knocked back, etc) but that’s the point. The thing is, those are only “issues” early in the game. And I use quotes because they’re only issues if you let them be.
You would prefer they delay it over something that won’t make a difference to a majority of players? It’s not like they’re Ubisoft or EA. It’s a small team.
To each their own, but based on what we’ve seen I can’t imagine a universe where Bloodstained is going to be more impressive than Hollow Knight, even if it does have Iga behind it.
Gah, I could never adopt your game buying habits. To have so many great games uncompleted or ignored while still buying more games would drive me crazy. I limit myself to playing 2-3 games at any given time but have to more or less finish one before moving onto something else.
It’s really not as hard as some outlets make it out to be. I’m a pretty average gamer and I got through it fine. There are tricky areas/bosses for sure, but you always have multiple options for where to go. So if a boss or location is giving you a hard time, come back later w/ more upgrades and it becomes a lot…
The only reason I think we’re more likely to see Kim is because she’s been set up as a more important person in Jimmy’s life. I don’t think seeing Jesse would affect Jimmy the same way other than wrapping up a Breaking Bad loose end. I think the show creators are probably more interested in wrapping up Better Call…
Have you not played Hollow Knight? It’s the best metroidvania in years. I would rank it up there with SotN.
Have you played Hollow Knight? It doesn’t have a lot of weapons/equipment unless you count the charms which allows you to mix things up. But other than that, it checks off all the other boxes.
