That’s what it sounds like to me, to. Or “So long-a Bowser!”

I’ve still got a GTX 980. So...I'll be getting 3070 if I can get my hands on one.
I liked this article, and I see your point, but I’d counter-argue that the game and it’s writing is a great example of treating you as a non-binary character, rather than Byleth acting as any kind of example of it themselves. Byleth is nothing more than a player represention and it’s fairly easy to project onto them…
Not a knock on you, Zack, but if a game came out today with that kind of busy style they would get destroyed in the reviews for looking outdated including here on kotaku, maybe even by you, after you posted this article.
I’m all for fancy HUDs, but don’t let it be too distracting. HUDs back then used to take up a lot of the screen space. Games like the Persona series can afford to go ham with the HUD because you’re generally going through menus often.
The only thing I completely agree with is that HUDs have for the most part become so…
Guess i just miss the magic of early 2000s. WoW, Diablo 2, Startcraft, age of empires 2, asherons call, warcraft 3, unreal tournament, unreal, baldurs gate 2, just few examples were quality passion, spirit, ideas, was a fine wine, now i feel like watered downed $5 wine, and is consumed just to get the buz.
Eh, I think that one has more to do with the larger linguistic issue of how “black” can separately mean (1) an ethnic group and (2) evil.
I treat it like Lovecraft; I come for the fucked up monster shit and fantasy/sci-fi, while maintaining a cool academic distance from the bigotry.
That’s really not a friend. “The terms were refined a bit, but we quickly hammered out something ostensibly concrete: “By 8:00 p.m. tomorrow, I’ll have a museum on my island.”” this entire negotiation was just him or her manipulating you into after handing them money after already agreed on the bet being opening a…
I generally agree that art direction is more important than anything else, but the character models in the original game were grotesque. They looked ugly even at the time of release.
How can anybody prefer those god awful ugly original models?
I never played a Xeno game until I bought XC2 on a whim and, other than Tora and Chapter 4, it became one of my favorite RPGs ever made. I can’t wait to play this for the first time.
This is the problem with current Star Wars, and has been since the prequels. The Force felt way more mystical and interesting when it was only a select few who could use it. Rogue One did a decent job of trying to bring back that feeling of mysticism (for me, at least).
KOTOR should (and could) haver been the first game allowing multiple playthroughs with fully scripted characters. Imaging playing as Kreya - trying to mold Revan, or The blind gal trying to seduce him to her master’s bidding.
So we all agree it looks better? Yeah? Yeah. Good.
Until the day where even physical media requires an activation code to tie its use to a single player’s account
it’s not her fault...she’s under a lot of pressure.
I...don’t understand your stance here, honestly. This literally is only a talking point about this game because it’s a remake, it’s like saying that you shouldn’t buy Trails of Cold Steel because it’s part of a larger story. There’s a point to be made about the game not needing to be only Midgar, for sure, but…
No please no. The symmetrical sticks might be the main reason I chose a PS system to start with. It feels so much more natural
The dynamic between papa Nier and Emil is actually one of the best parts of Gestalt. Nier ends up coming across as a loving father figure to him and it results some of the best scenes in the game.
