So.... which of these horribly powerful creeps called him first do you think?

I thought he was pretty clear in the original interview that he wasn’t talking about things that had happened to him, but things that had happened to other child actors he had worked with or been friends with. It’s sad that he has to re-clarify that. Stupid Internet.

Thank you for speaking on your experience. I’ll be the first to admit it’s easier for me to have hope because i’m speaking from a position of privilege. I don’t identify as an IWD but I try hard to treat my clients with respect and sensitivity and sometimes take on faith that others are acting with the same good

Yeah, definitely pass on that. It’s a good show, but my parents and I all inhabit a world where none of does the sex, so watching a show with a lot of it was severely uncomfortable. But that didn’t stop us from watching a second one (because admitting you’re uncomfortable is like admitting defeat).

I watched Eyes Wide Shut with my mom. You never realize how long an orgy scene can take...it lasted about 3 hours, I think.

No, I win:

I saw Frida in the movie theatre with my grandmother. During the opening lesbian sex scene she whispered to me ‘Sorry, looks like I should have seen this one with a friend’

I watched 40 year old Virgin with my parents and then had to explain that the nickname my girlfriends called me did not “come from the movie” but was in fact a very graphic and disgusting sexual act involving our last name. I mean...I guess I didn’t HAVE to explain but COME ON MOM GROW UP.

One word, one film, one awkward night: Kinsey.

Yes! Do it! I know I’m just a rando from the internetz, but I support you, fellow Jezzie!

I saw “There is Something About Mary” with my Southern Baptist Grandmother. To my surprise, she laughed her fool head off - but i just wanted to hide under my seat. *SO UNCOMFORTABLE*

I watched Outlander with my parents. It was not fatal, but it was awful.

Oh God, so, SO missed.

Amen! I don’t get why people treat ADHD so lightly. No, my mom did not give me Adderall because she didn’t want to parent me. She gave me Adderall because I was failing school for reasons that had little to do with my intelligence. Luckily I had good doctors that kept me at a reasonable dosage (25 mg), and I’m still

I’m trying to break through my own shyness right now. I want to become a writer but I’m struggling to publish or post anything I’ve written. I’m paralyzed by my fear of being “wrong” about anything I post.

Contrary to all of your body’s survival instincts, this is not, in fact, fatal.

You do realize that ADHD is a real neurobiological developmental disorder, and that stimulant medication has been shown many times to be the most effective treatment? Sure, stimulants may be over-prescribed, and idiot college students will get high on whatever they can get their hands on, but whatever personal

You are greatly missed around these parts, Lindy!

I mean, this is something we’ve been doing with kid medicine since forever, because kids don’t like swallowing pills. It’s just a way of making it easy for kids to take medicine that they were already being prescribed anyway (along with extended release, because regular amphetamine has to be taken like every 4 hours).

Yeah, agreed that controlled substances shouldn’t taste like candy. That is asking for trouble.
