Are you new here or something?   This is like bread and butter to most of us.

Mischief Managed

Definitely. Passion helps but isn’t necessary, and often gets in the way of doing a good job because people say “I’m not passionate about this and therefore I don’t care about it.” Pirsig did a good job talking about caring about your job in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. It’d be good if more people would

Maximum neighborhood blight factor.

Dude, just become a licensed mechanic already. Establish a mechanic collective. Share a garage where you can work on one of your cars sometimes and work on other people’s jalops to pay for the port space. Get permission to do stories on customers jalops. Make videos. Make some cash.

I would say that maybe its not disillusionment youre feeling but a bit of detached professionalism? I think a lie that ppl are told and tell themselves is that in order to do high quality work they must be passionate about and consumed by their work/interests.

This was really powerful to watch. Kinda fun to think whatever dope put the noose there is going to wind up making this movement stronger than if he hadn’t.

OMG, the world is ending - Jason had a rational suggestion.....Shit.....I’m so confused....I can’t process this.

RHD R32 Skyline. Tell your non car people patients it’s autonomous when you get out from the wrong side.

On top of that, automakers had a lot of debuts planned that might have goosed sales but are now delayed. That includes the new Land Rover Defender, the new Ford Bronco, and the Aston Martin DBX, alongside recent-ish introductions like the Kia Seltos, Chevy Trailblazer, and the Tesla Model Y.

I find the Fit to be a VERY capable car. One of those few cars that feels bigger on the inside than it is outside. Very comfortable. Much better handling than you would expect, especially if you have driven it’s competitors. (See list above)
