AAAAHHHHHHH
AAAAHHHHHHH
*Shudders* After reading these things I will forever be suspicious of apartments that are cheaper than they should be.
That's so terrifying :(
I remember reading this before, it's very beautiful but a bit spooky.
I was just going to leave a nonsense response reflecting my internal screaming, but suddenly I remembered a similar story from last years thread although of course I don't remember where the poster was camping. I have the vague memory that the person was camping alone, and it was possibly in the southwest. But if it…
oh my god, I think I was mentally 'la la la la laing' over that part when I first read it. Realistically I know that moving and finding and breaking leases is hard and takes time, but I like to imagine I would nope the fuck out of a haunted house as soon as the first door slammed.
That kind of makes sense... the ghosts or spirits that have bad or evil energies tend to be the ones that are specific to a place or location (source, having read a fuckton of these stories on Jez). Some are people who died in tragic circumstances, or the exact spot where some bad shit went down, so I can see how it…
nope nope nope nope nope! That's so scary!
*tears up applications to writing residencies*
Ahh, I think the bit about the glass is the scariest.
noo, you're making it worse! How did you grow up to be a functional human after a childhood of that? I think I would still be crying.
NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It would be interesting if it started around the same time that the step grandfather came into the family. Like the ghost of Shirley came with him or something.
In some stories it seems like the ghosts are always in the same place or bound to a certain part of the house, other times it seems like they roam freely. I have always kind of wondered what the difference was.
Now I'm imagining several generations of ghosts hanging out. I wonder if they get along? Does one person die and then meet the existing ghosts, like, oh hey, you're the ones who were haunting me? Is there new ghost initiation? Is it at all like Beetlejuice?
Eeeeeeeeeeee, holy shit. Funeral homes should never ever be repurposed as houses, WHO WOULD DO THAT?
I'm glad your username is bananabuttz because that was the only thing that snapped me out of wide-eyed horror.
that makes it worse, because SHIT, CUDDLING WON'T PROTECT ME????
*screams*
