.... Im not like a master critic or anything but i feel like the reason for the incongruous portrayal of video games in media is likely because of the audience that enjoys said portrayal.
the implication i believe was that there was some sabotage in the engine room that only he could have been present to comit.
I just watched the video and I’ll tell you why Nintendo wanted it gone. It makes them look like pretty bad.
just in case you care and want to know , Mark Wahlberg is a piece of human garbage we all should feel obliged to harm and make miserable until he shuffles off his mortal coil.
I too miss the days when games felt truly unique and aspects werent haphazardly carried over between unrelated titles. Im also however totally fine with those days being gone.
Assuming it’s true then that the fortunes of powerful corporate citizens are unassailable why do any of us participate in anything? Like isn't that just an admission that we are subjects to oligarchs?
One question for detractors of the judgement that buying a thing supports those who profit from said sale.
i love it when people online say other things dont matter
What made early fromsoft games good was that you could get to those conclusions before you got to the boss that you needed the info for. Elden ring to me seemed like really clumsy world design by comparison to dark souls and especially Bloodborne or sekiro.
When I said “grey” it meant I was not in favour of an moral judgement one way or the other.
I understand the valid nature of sim games and how aspects of them are about perspective and nuance. I also know for dead certain interpreting those aspects is very much in the hands of the gamer.

I think the difference here is the subject. Your comparison of training makes sense until you re-apply that person’s effort. You can probably do some convincing monet if you try long enough, you cannot however make a billion copies of yourself and rent them out for Monet requests all over the world.
Youre not gonna mistakenly wander into the cockpit of a jet/tractor/train and decide “well shucks i guess the real guy aint here good thing i played those games”. Whereas you could as a citizen in america (canada included) carry a weapon and decide that a stranger acting nervous near you is likely armed and wants your…
Well I spent half a decade and tens of thousands of dollars gaining skill at writing and speaking so I say; why can't it be both?
What normie plebs fail to understand is the potential optimization for the upscaling in career goals shared across an evolving dynamic and life affirming user generated multiplatform brain fuckhole
So for the record i too am a spurned canadian (i think maybe that perspective helps) and i feel almost exactly like Hathur79. You just arent understanding that what he proposes and i agree with IS the solution.
I often think those are just the people that get held up in the media. I think real American success are the people who have found a way to exist, have good things themselves and find chances to share that with others.
I remember the day I realized trump was actually just too dumb to handle the life he had been given and so spent all his time limiting his opportunities to protect his fragile ego.... I never called him a loser again. Plenty of normal people lose all the time. It takes a true manbaby to live the life Trump has.
