I would make the case that games which stoke addiction (WoW, Destiny, Fortnite) are in direct opposition to games as art (dark souls, death stranding, Undertale, anything by supergiant)

Your first point ignores that mechanical efficiency of bank transactions is a net positive where block chain has no centralized need to attain efficiency. So even if its true they both use similar amounts of energy one will always try to use less to save more money, the other just exists.

Blockchain is being endorsed out a sense of inevitability. If Crypto catches on and one or two large corporations dont buy in soon then they will get left out and face a huge disadvantage.
