I wonder how long before they get asked by Porsche to stop using the crest and script on their cars. Or are those owner-installed customizations?

Sounds like a plan: Take the X1/9 bodywork, graft it onto the 914 unibody, and then throw the TR7 away.
Not quite a random encounter, I'd say...
Also, my original post should read "Time has turned nearly every Fiat X1/9 back into its base elements."
The blue 155 isn't bad at all. The OP originally had the old 75 that looks like the box the car came in.
Speaking of T-birds, I almost posted this one by itself: the eighth-gen Fox-platform stinker from 1980 - 1982. It was terrible.
Such as...
That was a truly unfortunate styling moment for Alfa.
Indeed a good kind of rare. Most I've seen in the last 10 years are dedicated track cars which are pretty much just X1/9-shaped objects now due to all the transplants of parts from other models and grafts of sheetmetal to combat the tinworm.
Think about what you just said for a moment.
This car sucked balls from start to finish, so its passing is not lamented.
Time has turned nearly every Fiat X1/9 has back into its base elements.
The beancounters have won. It's a sad day for freedom.
The toolkit is really just another decoration that you show off. It came stock, so not having it is kinda like not having the Roundel on the hood. It doesn't hurt anything but it's just not right without it.
635 CSi 5 Speed. Functionally stock, non-idiot owner. I think we're done here.
Gibson has a custom shop version of the 1959 ES 175 single pickup out now. This would be one of them.
Massive emotional pricing here, with a goofy install to boot. If you're going to swap a 510, drop in an SBC (for a lot less) and install the proper complement of headlights.
I lurk and post occasionally there.
I think the fundamental disconnect is that while I'm discussing the model's competitiveness in the marketplace over its lifetime, and you're speaking about how you like your car right now and wouldn't change a thing.
