I get that, but “knowing better” is vastly different from reacting “correctly” (whatever that is) in a stressful moment, which is difficult for even sober, reasonable adults--never mind a 13-year old.  

Came here to say that. We need to get toy makers to build these things strictly in fluorescent colors and with “TOY” printed everywhere. These realistic looking toys are nothing but a danger to the kids who hold them. I don’t give a shit if kids wouldn’t “want” them, maybe it would save some kids’ lives.

Spent the day cleaning and assembling a new shelf and downsizing an overwhelming stockpile of books and random crap surrounding me in this apartment. Hubs is away for the weekend and I’m about to take a well deserved break for food. My brain is too tired to hunt Netflix for dinner viewing; any suggestions?
