My hunch is that it will age better than the blockchain record of your purchase of a receipt for a monkey jpeg at a URL that doesn’t exist anymore.

I think your comparison would be vastly more valid if the issue was with companies not paying the people who worked on the game, because it sounds an awful lot like you’re comparing not putting a a paid employee or contractor in the credits to stealing their work.
Far better than that site deserved. Hopefully it closes down.
you realize it’s standup right? you know, that whole “don’t take it seriously, i’m not actually gonna cum inside of a fishbowl” kind of shtick? how many times does he gotta come out and say he’s fucking joking.
Because honestly it shouldn’t have been on GoG to begin with even if had disclosed the full extent of online functionality. Live service games have no place on GoG if they can’t be fully playable offline and never touching the internet. GoG’s meant for the folk who lament that a digital only game doesn’t have the…
Genuine question - did you read past the headline and teaser? Your comment reads like you’re upset with a person who reviewed this game negatively on the grounds of being more of the same, but that isn’t what happened. Zack basically said “this is another helping of a thing that I like very much,” which also seems to…
With so many games getting rushed out the door to meet deadlines that were announced years in advance, I’m good with them keeping some things under wraps until they’re nearly ready to go.

I’ll wait to pick it up on sale, for sure, but I will pick…
I often feel like half of the articles under the G/O Media umbrella exist solely to drive links back to other articles. In this case, referencing all the drama around Ubisoft lets them link to all the other coverage of said drama.
I think they really need to have a skip editorializing link to get to the actual content we want from reading the headline, or leave it for the end. If I already have the game that I care about the settlings, I don’t really care about the drama surrounding said game.
But they only removed the dialogue, if it were truly caving to the religious right the characters would get an outfit change. They may not be huge fans of innuendo but they usually march against what they see. Similar to how one million moms (minus 999k) protested a soup ad because a kid had two dads.
This kind of behavior used to be capitulating to the religious right. The kind of pearl clutching that is still there but has been drowned out by recent events.
