I think the use of “Scientific Community” is valid because there is a tendency to see themselves as “rational” and therefore immune to prejudices (unlike the masses). The same is true of the Atheist community as well; there’s been a number scandals involving high profile “New Atheist”s.
We should have something like a Bechdel-test for PoC.
It’s very common to count white Hispanics as PoC (they’re not) and claim to be diverse, when it’s not.
