Bullshit. Most of these seemingly long names are combinations of smaller words (e.g. Chandrasekhar = Chandra + Sekhar) so to anyone familiar with even a smattering of Sanskrit words they're not long, complicated names.

I did not grow up in the US.
Nothing to be confused about. Most Middle Eastern and South Asian immigrants to the US come from educated, middle to upper class families, a lot of them coming for education and then settling down. Whereas for the UK a lot of them come from poor and uneducated families to work menial jobs.
