lol TOO ACCURATE A QUESTION

LOL

I have no earthly idea!!! But it must be working, because companies keep paying ppl for this stuff!

Great point! That’s a good counterargument. Definitely one of the cons of a digital library.

Thats reasonable, a lot of people feel that way. Old habits die hard!

I watch that at least once every few months. It’s one of the greatest YouTube videos I have ever seen haha

OMG spon-con divorces: “My divorce broke my family apart and shattered my self-confidence as I am now a husk of my former self, but I cannot recommend the Marriott Hotel in Honolulu enough! What a beautiful pool it has! You can hardly tell that I have been crying in this pool water for the last 3 days straight!”

Newspapers are so big and ungainly! Why do that when you can have it all oh so conveniently?!

Yeah that’s fair, a lot of people I know feel that way. That’s different! I was coming at it from a, “all things being equal, it’s better to have them digital than paperback”, but you’re isn’t an “all things being equal” scenario.

Well the ‘actually exists’ thing is my biggest knock against them. How many trees would avoid getting chopped down if all documents converted to digital! You are definitely right though, there is something to be said for the way having a book feels in your hands, turning the pages, the way it smells... all those

Better yet, download it all and save it as PDFs! :-P

Exactly! PDFs can be taken with you forever!

ugh I am probably going to have eye problems later in life, given how much of my time I spend reading screens.

Ahhh yeah. I mean, there are definitely pros and cons to every way of consuming a book- youre right that libraries have their own flaws. I live in NYC so I didn’t even think about what a less well supplied library system might be like.

It’s definitely a transition! I’m on the younger side, and I grew up with computers. So for me, there’s no palpable difference. But a lot of people from previous generations have a visceral dislike of reading from screens, so I get it.

YOU ARE THE SCOURGE OF TREES! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR A GENOCIDE!!!

LMAO what an obnoxious comment! Why are you so sensitive about my opinion on the pros/cons of physical books? You can do whatever you want, it’s your back that’ll get pulled if you ever move and have to transport your library. I am just saying, there are indeed many upsides to having digital books. There are negatives

On the one hand, this is extremely ridiculous. On the other hand, hey I respect the hustle. Anything can be a job if people are willing to pay you for it! As for the question of how exactly this helps a company’s bottom line...... Huh!?!? But I guess that’s for the companies to worry about! Still, its better than
