mmmmm great point! This is certainly true!

I love Sam singlehandedly taking one of them on! Really showcases how agile his wing suit is.
Yeah, definitely some growing pains. Especiall considering how well choreographed those scenes are. Chris Evans shared on insta awhile back some footage of him and the HYDRA dudes rehearsing the elevator, and Sebastian Stan shared a clip of him practicing the knife flip thing. Really cool stuff
LOL thats true! Although I definitely get GotG being the “more important” movie, in terms of just absolutely shattering the expectations. And John Wick is, well, it’s John Wick haha
Cap’s “price of freedom of high” speech is just the right level of earnest and inspiring. I also love how ScarJo goes from being all flirty and mysterious in the beginning of the movie, the way she was in Iron Man 2, but then when the chips fall down and shes on the run she finally can be herself around Cap. I thought…
But then those last few episodes of season 1 were so good!!
Winter Soldier is still my favorite MCU movie- the fight scenes are just SO GOOD. They are so well choreographed. I love how the entire movie builds up the Winter Soldier as this just badass mofo, and when he and Cap finally throw down.... It DOES. NOT. DISAPPOINT. That first Cap vs. Winter Soldier fight is SO good.
LOL I do think Dark World is probably one of the worst MCU movies, but it's mostly fine! It has some very fun moments, and Hiddleston is very good
IMO the Netflix ASOUE is one of the best book-to-screen adaptations. The aesthetic and the music and production is just about perfect, all the actors give it their all, they don’t really miss.... well, pretty much anything! from the books.
One season of The Sopranos/Breaking Bad/Ozark/whatever prestige drama you like most is probably anywhere between 10-14 hours of total watching over the course of a year. Between 4 movies and like 4 shows all part of one overarching “story” being released throughout 2021, is probably aorund 25-30 hours of total…
I can’t lie, it is a thoroughly enjoyable show and the characters are all pretty fun to watch. I loved watching Johnny Drama be a total dipshit, and Ari Gold being an insane person- his screeds were top notch! Obviously it is a pretty vulgar show, but sometimes vulgar shit is funny
This is by far the most comprehensive comment here. Well done!
The whole point of No Country is that it’s too cruel- that’s what the title means! There’s no place for people like Tommy Lee Jones anymore, the world is far too evil.
My favorite The Good Place joke is in season 3, when Judge Jen summons Shawn, and he’s mid-sentence talking about Vinny Chase and he’s like “ahh damn, I was just torturing William Shakespeare by describing the plot of the Entourage movie to him.”
People forget that the superhero movies were already a HUGE thing before the MCU. Wed already had the Spiderman trilogy, the X-Men trilogy, some Fantastic Four, I mean Dark Knight came out the same year as Iron Man. It’s just that Marvel perfected the genre
This is such a good comment, I hope Tom sees this!
JESUS CHRIST BATTLEFIELD EARTH. Now THERE is a name I haven’t heard in a minute!
I dunno man- Luke Skywalker being a badass “Jabba, this is your last chance. Free us or die.” and just OWNING Jabba and his cronies is pretty great.
World-class indeed. The actual disaster is so well done, and the pacing and panic is incredibly well realized. There were some character beats that worked really well, too. The band, obviously. Also I particularly liked the ship designer, played by Victor Garber, and how, just, SAD he was that he’d fucked up.
The thing is, James Cameron is legitimately that knowledgeable and passionate about the Titanic! I read this interview, where the crew guys were saying that there wasn’t a single job on set that James Cameron COULDNT or WOULDNT do. If he could’ve made the movie singlehandedly he wouldve absolutely been willing to do…
