My brother is experiencing this right now with my eldest nephew. It was pretty clear that he wasn’t really mature enough to live on campus and take on the responsibilities of getting to class on a daily basis.

Yikes. You’d hope that ego wouldn’t get in the way of patient care, but there’s no doubt it does. I’m sure some docs have legit criticisms of other specialists, but that’s when they should suggest a 2nd opinion rather than babysitting another doctor’s work.
