I saw that film and was terrified of Mark Harmon for years!

After he finally confessed, he was one of the serial killers who spoke with the FBI. He actually gave them a lot of insight into some common patterns - revisiting the scene, using counter forensic measures like leaving items unrelated to the crime at the scene. I think he forced a change in how serials were

Yes, very much so. There’s a doc on Netflix called “The Ted Bundy Tapes” and it’s fascinating. One of the things they focus on is how hard it was for those around him to believe he was capable of violence because he was "one of us" aka, educated, charming, good looking.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but that was the age range where I was totally self conscious and uncomfortable with my body. If someone had strip searched me at that age, I’d have been mortified. Those poor girls.

I remember myself and my best friends at that age. Oddly, it corresponds to my mom adding a little OT at work....we were good kids but giddy is probably a mild assessment of our personalities. I know lots of squealing was involved.

Ha same! My parents and I secretly vent, but know that confronting her is useless. My brother is an adult free to make adult mistakes.

I had a friend who owned a Malamute, it was afraid of the dogloo - but only when the dogloo was outside. So she had a gigantic dogloo smack in the middle of the family room.

Ha me too! Hurricane tents for everyone!

I live in an apartment, but my first thought was: “ooh I could be out in the snow, rather than staring at it through my window!”

This is probably the only version of that memo he could understand.

That floored me. I mean if he’d used a business AmEx, I'd imagine he could write off the loss, but personal card? Nope that’s on you, buddy!

Holy hell. I wish I could gift you a vacation, or gift your spouse some sense of responsibility!

I just watched the Netflix doc and what really struck me was how all those people who worked with Billy talked about how they were duped because they believed in him and his ideas and are now thousands in debt. They’re so apologetic to the scammed Fyre attendees, and equally sorry for themselves, but only casually

Especially since she talked publicly about how god awful it was to prepare her body for that role.

Yeah, and we’d chosen them because they’d been around forever and had a sterling reputation. I figured out later that it was really because they’d manage to saturate the market. No one really ever thought of another option, which makes sense - when you’re grieving, you have enough to deal with and it can be easier to

When my grandmother died, the funeral home made a point of “taking care of everything” so my family didn’t have to lift a finger. This included making sure the guest book was looked after and then forwarded my mom. Two weeks after the funeral, my brother and I both got mailings about pre-planning our final

Tangentially, my 82 year old dad loves Alicia Keys. I don’t know where he heard her, but he emailed me specifically to ask if I knew who she was and did I like her music. I have him the affirmative on both accounts, and gifted him her most recent CD for that next father’s day.

I thought it was very clever that some "choices" were ignored by the characters.

Really? I have a Roku and had no issues at all. Mine's a little older model, though.

Same here, nearing 45 on my side. Thing is guys my age NEVER paid attention. But even in my 20s I had 60 year old creepers. I actually look a ton better now than I did at 25, but those AARP members still love to yell in my direction! The youngsters are a new thing. One cat called me the other day and I had the
