My parents moved from Wisconsin to Virginia shortly after I was born. They don’t remember how they sounded pre move. The area of Va that we’re in is pretty accent neutral, so when that mixed with the Madison accent, they started sounding like news anchors. I found an audio tape from before the move and played it for

This happened to me a lot working in retail. I’d find myself falling into the same speech pattern as my customer without noticing. The few times I caught myself, I was sort of embarrassed and hoped they didn’t think I was mocking them, but no one ever seemed to notice. I think a lot of it really is proximity. I’ve had

Hopefully someone amongst the people who've pushed for her release will be willing to help.

Hey leave McAvoy outta this! (dear Iord I hope he’s not an ass as well...)

I can see why he might feel the need to address his decision in light of being named (tough to tell from the interview if she was prompted to name names, or just rattled off some of the big names who declined). At the same time, dream is so right about how those same artists “turning away” helps perpetuate abuse.

I also wondered if that "free housing" ends up counting as income and gets taxed.

I would want to know what “all other tasks” entail before signing up. Those things could very well cut into the days off.

Mitt is in no way cool enough to add twisties into a Charleston!

It’s really cute. The mental gymnastics that someone had to make to turn this into a negative thing is mind boggling.

60k to be a top quality chef, ferry captain, maid, and to “perform all other tasks”? Um....pass.

Yup! My parents set the bar high as far as equitable relationships go, I grew up with that expectation. Reality was a different story. Even the guys who are drawn to the fact that I have my own life, goals, and ambitions seem to expect those to vanish once they enter my life, as if I was just biding my time until they

I’m super lucky to have parents who have that sort of relationship. My mom’s parents were the same way, but my dad had a horrible home life. I didn’t know how bad until I was well into adulthood. He never talks about it, and I know he’d be embarrassed if I brought up how much I admire his ability to not carry that

Oh wow that's very cool! I'll have to look into it. Thanks!

Yes! I nearly got myself the kit with the smart bulbs because Amazon had a great sale, but there's only one light I ever really feel to lazy to turn off, so the Clapper would be ideal. Or I could get off the couch.

I've been able to find them at thrift stores, and some independent music (equipment) stores. Sometimes the quality is sketchy, but they're fun to use.

They look like leather jeggings. Or rather faux leather jeggings. I just don't understand her style. She should be one of the easiest public figures to dress and yet....this.

That makes me feel both cold and nervous!

It also looks somewhat comfortable, which is not something I associate with wedding dresses or Westwood.

I figured that had to be sarcasm, I live in a mid sized city and my small apartment runs me over 12k a year, sans others expenses.

Just my two cents, but I wouldn’t waste your time on The Romanoffs. I liked 3 of the episodes, but the show is a mess. As a fan of Mad Men, I expected more. The set design and location shots are phenomenal, though. The writing and acting are sub par for the talent they hired, add in that each episode runs at least an
