I can see why he might feel the need to address his decision in light of being named (tough to tell from the interview if she was prompted to name names, or just rattled off some of the big names who declined). At the same time, dream is so right about how those same artists “turning away” helps perpetuate abuse.

I also wondered if that "free housing" ends up counting as income and gets taxed.

I would want to know what “all other tasks” entail before signing up. Those things could very well cut into the days off.

Mitt is in no way cool enough to add twisties into a Charleston!

It’s really cute. The mental gymnastics that someone had to make to turn this into a negative thing is mind boggling.

60k to be a top quality chef, ferry captain, maid, and to “perform all other tasks”? Um....pass.

Yup! My parents set the bar high as far as equitable relationships go, I grew up with that expectation. Reality was a different story. Even the guys who are drawn to the fact that I have my own life, goals, and ambitions seem to expect those to vanish once they enter my life, as if I was just biding my time until they

I’m super lucky to have parents who have that sort of relationship. My mom’s parents were the same way, but my dad had a horrible home life. I didn’t know how bad until I was well into adulthood. He never talks about it, and I know he’d be embarrassed if I brought up how much I admire his ability to not carry that

They look like leather jeggings. Or rather faux leather jeggings. I just don't understand her style. She should be one of the easiest public figures to dress and yet....this.

That makes me feel both cold and nervous!

It also looks somewhat comfortable, which is not something I associate with wedding dresses or Westwood.

I figured that had to be sarcasm, I live in a mid sized city and my small apartment runs me over 12k a year, sans others expenses.

Just my two cents, but I wouldn’t waste your time on The Romanoffs. I liked 3 of the episodes, but the show is a mess. As a fan of Mad Men, I expected more. The set design and location shots are phenomenal, though. The writing and acting are sub par for the talent they hired, add in that each episode runs at least an

Stranger Than Fiction was so good. Its too bad it didn’t get more buzz.

Yep. I get that the demographic of the writers skews younger, which is fine for the pop culture aspect. But aside from a few well written longer pieces, the same style of “reporting” is being applied to subjects regardless of their gravity. I’m so sick of snark in everything. It’s not even new! I’m a Gen-Xer and we’ve

WWoolworths used to have a small, depressing bird and fish section. I figured it was along those lines.

My parents are nerds. My mom really wanted to go into engineering in college and started out as a math major but got talked into a “practical” major for a woman - dental hygiene. She took premed courses for it and made a good living but left the field as soon as our family moved. My dad was our city arborist so he was

Yeah Kimmy’s attempt at office politics was odd and really didn’t work. It’s not like work is all that different from real life interaction. She’d already handled far more complex issues working for Jacqueline and her family. Weird season.

Max was my favorite. I really liked how realistic her relationship with TC was, so many shows were just promoting the standard “love conquers all until you divorce” idea. It was rare to see a couple who might want a relationship but had other priorities that came first.

I’ve been watching mostly for Titus, especially in the last season. It was inevitable that Kimmy’s journey would run its course - there’s only so many new things she can experience. It makes total sense for the show to wrap up.
