I saw a couple Bollingers at the Petersen museum earlier this year. They looked cool as hell, especially the pick-up, and especially compared to that silly Tesla Cybertruck abomination.

Just tax gas
surprisingly, anything above $5/gal is enough. That’s what convinced me to get a 2013 Nissan Leaf - it cost less to buy the car JUST TO COMMUTE WITH than to pay for the gas. After that, all the pieces fell into place and I sold/traded-in all my gas cars 2 years ago.
You’d need $10/gallon gas to achieve this.
Indeed, the fact that the gas tax in the U.S. isn’t even adjusted for inflation and has remained the same since the 90s is shameful.
Just tax gas.
Don’t forget: for a car that single-handedly pumps more CO2 and pollutants into the air than a fleet of electric cars and can be used for literally nothing besides going fast and looking cool.
Ford offers a 280hp 2.3T w/ 6spd stick FWD in the Focus ST Wagon, of course it’s not offered in the US.
“Sexy! Can I just have one with a 250hp 2.0T and a six speed stick? FWD would be fine.”
Escalades are tacky. Go for a Yukon Denali XL.
The Astro (especially AWD) is a genuine cult item, but some of their graven images are getting a bit long in the tooth.
The Cayenne is the only one with over 7000 lbs tow capacity, but it is not considered very reliable. Perhaps this one also holds a bit of the same stigma, but it seems like that is waning as of late.
But why Astro over Express? Or Express conversion with 4x4 package?
Endorsing the hell out of this. Not a big fan of the obscenely aggressive nose on the current model is, but $50k would get you more than enough amenities to care.
Yeah, more interesting than an MDX is just such a low bar.
Brand new 4Runner. Done and done.
“Big fail.” LOL — Surely, the iPhone 1 should have BIG FAILED because it couldn’t do what the iPhone 11 can do, right?
Your common sense and reasonable position is most unwelcome here. Apparently real jalopniks demand 700 miles range and 1000 hp for 20k before they would ever consider an EV.
This isn’t Chevy Bolt sized. It is meant to take on the Model Y, and has comparable range to the Model Y base model, but at a lower price. Though it still isn’t enough range for me to be interested, so I do understand where you are coming from...
I’m sorry, but they are completely hideous. They are the automotive equivalent of a gaming keyboard that constantly pulses with green light. They are as attractive as a middle-aged cyclist in a multi-color spandex leotard. They are ghastly.
