Great article, however, what you were told about the E400 was incorrect. The factory itself didn’t have enough screens for the P3 packages so they came up with another package which included everything in P3 except the duel instrument screens. If a store was quick to add P3 to a car that they were ordering they would

it is a 5.5 Biturbo V8 not a 4.0...

If Mercedes finds out the car was exported out of the US market the dealer will be charged back the full profit that was in the car as well as have an allocation take away. The stores have the right to protect themselves and don’t need to sell anyone a car they don’t want to

Lots of high-line brands offer debadging as an options when ordering your car

I debadged my benz because I was sick of the car wash mitt getting stuck, and wax building up

There is separate badging now for AMG cars vs AMG sport cars.... A full fledged AMG is now called a Mercedes-AMG C63s for example vs Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG as it was called in the past... I also forgot to add that the 4Matic system used in that car is the exact same that is used in Mercedes-AMG SUVs and E63s...

Agreed on the dilution of the AMG name... however in the “AMG Sport” cars there is some tuning done by AMG. The transmission, the suspension and exhaust are all tuned by AMG with some tweaks to the engine as well...

Yes, they service advisers absolutely know where your car was bought from, and will indeed give preferential treatment to loyal clients. If it comes between getting somebody in who bought the car there or somewhere else guess who they’ll put in.... If there is only one loaner car left, guess who’ll get that? If you’re

What about when you want your car serviced? Are you going to take that two hour drive to go back to that selling dealer? Probably not.... Nor do they really care about you. They were just selling you a number with no value attached. You will get very little in the way of customer experience from an out of state/town

Sold two 2015s this year...

Anyone who was really debating about spending over $115K on a car doesn't care about gas mileage....

Please show me a google image of that, let alone ANY Toyota with a hood ornament that stands up on the hood. Thanks

How much you wanna bet that they never have a traditional stand up star on a SUV? Never have, never will..... The reason for not having them now is because it can get in the way when off roading....... yea, yea, yea I know.... nobody will take there Benz off road. Plus as others have said, it would look really

No MB SUV has the stand up hood star...

What does it say about the value of the brand if they are just willing to drop the price by $3k? I think that just goes to show the customer they can't compete with the Germans in quality and they have a less superior product so they are pricing it that way......

no seating for 7 in the AMG wagon, the jump seats are deleted
