I'm sure that my good friends at US Cellular will get the iPhone any day now. I mean, why shouldn't they? They're either the 5th or 6th largest carrier in the nation, and if you check consumer reports, they have the best customer satisfaction out of around 20 carriers in the USA.

Egyptians have the same problem with the "th" as in "weather" (in Arabic, ذ is that sound, whereas ث is for the th in "teeth") - Egyptians just can't seem to do it. They change it into a Z sound. Looks like they're not alone...

Ask a general idiot mac user on the street how to access the force quit menu for when their apple programs inevitably freeze on them. Yeah. It's kinda like that.

How many marines have had sword training? I mean really, honest to god legionnaire sword training. The little things on those dress uniforms have the advantage of thousands of years of technology and balancing to make them the excellent weapons they are.

Siri...are you, um, programmed for pleasure?

Hence why I try to adjust the incoming video window so that the person's face is as close to the webcam as possible, specifically to allow for this.

Unfortunately, the very fact that you have to try not to stare at yourself already means that it's already more awkward than real life (unless you have friends that attach mirrors to their shoulders).

And I thought I was the only person who had that problem. It's embarrassing that I know I'm not making "eye" contact with the person I'm talking to, because I'm too busy watching my face move.

Noting that at least 2 of these are from Egypt, I recall that I learned of Jobs' death via an Arab friend's update on FB. A few hours later, at least 7 of my Arab friends had changed their profile pictures to Steve Jobs.

Excellent. Make it so lightweight so that when I drop it, it hovers in midair. Until my laptops start defying physics, I'm not upgrading.

Unfortunately, they tested the waters successfully with LK 3d - people ate it up like it was candy. Not me, of course, I'm perfectly happy with my VHS copy that my parents got me when I was a kid.

For those of you who don't follow processor architecture upgrades vs processor process upgrades, may I present to you Apple's new inspiration: the Intel Tick-Tock release cycle.

On A Budget ≠ struggling. It just means seeing a deal on a perfectly usable phone and going with it. And this is coming from a guy who doesn't even like Apple. A free set of iphones on a family plan might actually be a good deal, and if it means a budget, great.

Bam! And the Kindle Fire sells a million more pre-orders. With an exception of the admittedly-awesome Siri and the (completely expected) A5 upgrade, a pretty lame keynote. See you next year, Timmy.

double negative makes a positive!

They just sat there, on their tasty, delicious laurels.

Instances like this make me strongly believe that Google's laissez-faire attitude towards "sure, we'll give anyone the source code for this OS!" needs to die. They need to work closely with the major manufacturers as partners, ban these stupid GUIs, and make sure this stuff doesn't happen.

"better not use the HTC sense interface" - FTFY.
