Thank you, Facebook. I appreciate my links about Facebook Purity that I would message to my friends being marked as "dangerous" and removed without warning (they didn't even put "are you sure you want to open this link?).

Because you can watch netflix, youtube, play games, check email, etc on it. It's everything Android + Amazon can do, probably with a better interface from Amazon that's easier for non-techs.

I can attest to that. And I think I was one of the first commenters on the article (mentioning the SEO-friendliness of this title) and bam, there went the star.

Oh come on, Sam, we were all thinking it ;)

This episode may have been responsible for several million people finally discovering that the two words mean entirely different things.

Oh yeah. I'm looking forward to this. Thanks for coming, Michael. Sam's rebuttal should be forthcoming.

"thank god we can already start SEO farming for 'iphone 5 review'!"

Ironic that you say that, because Firefox is infamous for using RAM caching as a "feature" (oh that quote from the dev back in 1.5 came back to haunt him). I find that Chrome has been better than FF by far for memory usage - but I haven't used version 7.0 yet, so perhaps that will change. I find that Flash in FF is

Probably because he didn't want to look like he was in front of a room of trained chimps, the way Stevo did. I've watched every apple keynote for 3 years, and I always feel nauseated afterwards - not because of Steve and the admittedly-neat products, but because of the gurgling, screeching spectators.

They had a guy who doesn't even like them write the article. What did you expect; mourning?

I made a different facebook account just for that almost a year ago. You guys should all friend John Smith; he's a little lonely right now (with 0 friends). But hey, just look at all of the apps that he's added and the music he's listening to!

People with acne fetishes? (urp)

Uh, what engine is it using? Who makes it? How often are its definitions updated? If it's not made by AVG, Kaspersky, Microsoft, Symantec, Avast, Trend, or even McAfee, it's probably not actually doing anything.

VIA is a company that actually makes things for productivity. Most of the earliest motherboards I used for builds had at least 3-4 VIA-made chips on them, including the southbridge (usually) and the northbridge (sometimes).

Oh, THIS is where that other comment was supposed to go ;)

P-P-P-P-PLOSIVE CONSONANTS!

Lots of laptop PCs have the option to install SIM cards in them these days. I would imagine that in order to send an "actual" SMS vs an IM that's translated to SMS on the receiver's side, you would need one of those.

"...was standardized (only) by Edmund Gunter" is how I imagine that went. Joking, of course, but just imagine the good old days when each county, each shire, and each town used its own standard of measurement for stuff. We've whittled it down to two main ones now...just have to kill the last one.
