I’m pretty sure the 401 isn’t the widest highway in North America. It is the busiest though, and by a wide margin.
It’s pretty new, so there is a lot to work out. As the market starts to see a glut of EV batteries, the supply will build and demand pricing will kick in? Is it more profitable to junk/recycle an EV battery or resell it for a different use? Probably the latter. It’s not unlike junking and reselling other car parts…
Even if batteries are not immediately recycled after their usefulness is spent in a car, they can have a pretty beneficial second life as solar storage.
“so they aren’t really doing any reading besides seeing a random headline here and there.”
And in those cases it’s pretty easy to guess where “here” and “there” are.
Europe has a lot of laws in place making the OEM’s responsible for the total lifecycle of their products the U.S. is lagging on legislation for that.
Exactly - the people who think that electric cars aren’t good for the environment don’t care about the environment anyway.
Whenever someone states EVs are powered by coal, I kindly refer them to this MIT study, which states there is still a net reduction in greenhouse gasses.
RE EVs: For the last decade plus, everytime I’ve seen EVs discussed in a public forum (even when it’s about the merits of a specific model) someone who has been watching way too much Fox News always barges in and says something to the effect of “I bet you greenie weenies never considered those fancy electric cars are…
First Gear: The media has GOT to stop equating “some dude skimming a few Google search results” and “scientists painstakingly subjecting a falsifiable hypothesis to experiment.”
It’s gonna mean literally jack shit on car loans unless you got some super high interest rate loan.
He’ll just get out his Sharpie and fix the map.
tRump is a fucking moron and if you’re a tRump voter SO ARE YOU.
How do you get more beachfront property if sea levels rise?
Mara-a-Lago’s gone, so there’s that.
Some would say thats still too much Florida.
Yeah, how is this MORE seafront property?
Fun fact for the fine folks of Michigan- as sea levels rise and climates warm, get ready for a bunch of rich folks to move to your most picturesque spots, jack up the prices and price you right out of your home and then call you unamerican for daring to be poor in their presence.
On one hand, I want him to suffer. Hard. On the other, I just want him gone. He’s a fucking disaster whose work will already take decades to recover from. I cannot imagine the damage he would do with even one more day in power.
No. The only reason Trump is at ALL relevant is due to total dipshits such as yourself who think he’s anything other than what he is. And you dumfucks who fall for his non-stop ranting about immigrants are from a guttural level no different than those from the past who instead of looking at actual issues are instead…
