That’s a great deal.  There is a 2023 M60 demo not far from me that I might take a swing at.  It’s the only way to get the air suspension since I can’t seem to find any 50's with that option.

Exactly, they effectively make two vehicles, a sedan (S/3) and a crossover (X/Y) none of them really look all that different from the others.  To be fair a lot of auto makers don’t make huge changes.  Heck I drive a Chrysler 300 and it’s only had 2 generations between 2004 and 2023 though it has had a few face lifts,

Extremely Muskian.

And nationalize SpaceX while you’re at it since it now fulfills an important public function and he’ll ruin it as soon as he turns his attention to it.

The reason is simple: Elon is greedy and unstable, lives simply to spite everyone who isn’t him, and simply can’t do anything right.

Well Tesla has their own issues lol, Musk is a BIG part, but also their iterative design means for the average joe there haven’t been any meaningful changes to the cars, except some minor changes to the outside, and frankly I think the earlier ones looked better.  Inside, well there isn’t much there to begin with, and

Sales are still growing for everyone but Tesla. The problem is just that sales are not growing at the monster rate automakers assumed.

IF Musk actually opens the network up to other cars, there will be adapters readily available since there will be plenty of market demand. I’m not going to put off buying a whole car for what may amount to a $100 adapter part.

He fired most of the team responsible for the supercharger network. Tesla took US subsidies in exchange for opening up the network, and clearly hasn’t done so at any real scale.

Nationalize this shit. Take the network away from the petulant child.

I have been waiting 3 months to get the Tesla adapter for my Rivian. I think Tesla “has” to manufacture them and no one else can. I have a feeling Musk is playing games to keep them out of other non-Tesla owners hands. He wants his cars on the roads... But sales are slipping for him and he’s baby-rage mad.

Never trust a psychopath. Not even his signature on a contract.

Yeah, I’m not surprised by this at all. You can go out and lease a 6-figure EV from Merc, BMW, or Audi for around $700 per month and a few thousand down compared to about twice that for the gas version. The tax benefits and extreme discounts are excellent.

If you can live without Apple Carplay, that is a heck of a deal!

What EVs have you seen that have a longevity issue?  Honest question since I have not heard about this even being a thing outside first/early gen Leafs which used hugely outdated tech compared to todays offerings.

This is the first time I am hearing that anyone views EV as “more disposable” than an ICE car. Frankly, that sounds ridiculous.

First gear: Other’s have pointed out the tax rebate loop hole.

Local dealer here has Blazer EVs for $199 or Equinox EVs for $159, both with $2k down. For $44k-ish and $53k-ish vehicles. You’d be real dumb to buy one and take the depreciation hit over 2 years when those lease opportunities are out there.

You know that’s a false-equivalency, right?

Close.

I mean, if he was flying commercial, the planes are already going there. He’s wasn’t chartering a round trip every week
