How is it descriminitory? Any company is free to produce their batteries in the usa.  This goes into effect in 2 years so thats plenty of time to start a battery foundry or just outsource their batteries to a us company.  

Countries do discriminatory economic practices all the time. For better or worse, it’s an aspect of governing—duh—and all countries are guilty/proud of doing so.

This is very interesting, so the Chevy Bolt now qualifies for the tax credit again? I believe it had previously expired from the list. And they just lowered the MSRP on them as well. Although finding one for sale at MSRP might prove to be difficult.
