This is fascinating - your household regularly takes two simultaneous and independent road trips of more than 250 miles a day??

It’s pretty amazing how fast it became clear that the ICE is a technological dead end for passenger cars.

I mean, it makes sense that plug ins are going to be a weird footnote since they are very much transitionary vehicles. If the eventuality is a fully electric, then it’ll be weird to see a Volvo XC90 in a museum someday.....

Price gasoline high enough above the electrical cost for making the trip and people will use the battery as much as they can.

Where are you from? Because if you are a murrican, I would be very, very careful about pointing fingers at others regarding human rights. Voting rights, transgender rights, immigrant children in cages etc.

The paint is brown, the seats are brown, and I’m guessing your pants will be brown when that intermittent CEL finally reveals what is wrong with the wagon. ND.

That’s exactly the point. I’m maybe 45 miles north of Miami. If I’m willing to regulate my home departure to the bottom of the hour, I can be anywhere downtown by commuter rail/shuttle bus in an hour and a half to an hour-forty five minutes during rush hour.

My marginal tax rate is already up 10% at zero dollars because I pay the hospital 10% of my income, gross.

Isn’t what you pay to the hospital more akin to a fee to operate under their umbrella then a tax? Serious question, as I’m sure that how hospitals in the US and Canada operate are different.

Roads lose money too. Transportation is subsidized because it supports other economic activity that generates revenue.

Unlike those money-printing highways?

ohno public transit loses money won’t someone think of the children?

The Northeast Corridor makes money. $200M year in profit.

GM seems oblivious to the fact that they already have a brand with “EV” right in the name: CHEVROLET.

Next time your house is on fire call up your libertarian friends.

Car enthusiasts want road infra, society needs mass transit/public transport.

1st Gear: Delusional libertarians who believe that their lifestyle is a product of their own making and not the result of being born in a country where there was already a working infrastructure in place may post their ridiculous opposition here.

The USPS is not a company. It is a government service mandated by the US Constitution.
