Wait til you calculate maintenace on 56 ford relative to any car sold today.

Also stupid cheap leases. In the next 1-3 years, used EVs (like my leased Polestar 2) will be had for a song.  No way I’d buy it at lease end for its residual ($40k!). Polestar can have it!

Charging speed is the primary reason I did not buy a Bolt. Was really into the EUV too, but I use my EV primarily for road trips and sitting for an hour was not interesting to me.

When I pull into an Electrify America with all stations full and see a Bolt or even a Niro plugged into a 350kw charger, my heart sinks. What a waste of charging capacity.

Were you prepared for it or did they surprise you with it?

Agree. I stopped eating meat/dairy in 2021 just as those prices started jumping. I found my life little affected by food price inflation, while heavy meat eaters (most Americans) complained to no end.

Some higher prices were “sticky”, but that only lasts so long and some prices are coming down now.

Gas stations don’t make tons on gas either, per gallon.

I’ve been renting solely EVs from Hertz for at least 2 years. You can easily select one when you make the reservation.

If this were an i5 Touring my deposit would be in. I have no interest in burning any more gas.

Kudos to Volvo for sticking to plan and moving on from gas. In the US this likely will not affect its large sedan (lack of) sales.

Airstream has a nice ring.  Wonder if that violates the camper trademark.

ACAB.

It’s simple, really.

Will transit be made fare-free for those who can’t afford a new car or don’t want a new car?

3.1 was useful.

Average price of a new car is just over $48k.

NT?
