If Toyota only sold these in the US as hybrids I’d almost give them a pass for bad mouthing EVs, but they insist on selling non hybrid ICE-only versions. It makes an excellent hybrid, move on already.

While I was being (a little) tongue in cheek, driving one handed is less safe than with two. Briefly removing one to change gears is hardly the same as cruising along with one arm crossed in front of your body.

Ever since manual transmissions went the way of the dodo in most non pure sports cars, I pivoted away from ICE to EV.

You can have an EV that goes beyond serene.  The Polestar 2 is one of them.
