It’s a great vehicle for...you.  But that’s not the point of this post.

Yeah, the lounge is not necessary. It’s not going to be like an elite airline lounge, quiet, clean and comfy.

Desperate people, whose car dependency is the result of decades of malinvestment in highways and segregated land use laws, means those unable or unwilling to understand the car market and lending practices will be taken advantage of by a capitalistic system that feeds on desperation.

Even with $10,000 worth of maintenance, this is probably still a NP.

This is one of those cars that if you drove or site in the 1st gen, you’ll be happy with gen 2 site unseen.

I’ve used my ev for long trips… 600 miles. It’s fine. Just gotta be smart…and I don’t have carry an extra engine around or buy gas.

California and CARB states have moved on. That’s 1/2 the population of the country.

Agree with your thinking, 10 years ago. The next 10 years will see a massive shift. Once you go EV, you don’t go back.

This is what you say when you don’t have a product to compete with.

While I love manuals, it’s way too late for me. I’ve embraced our EV future.

Boston here.

I already know the owner of this car. His ride is loud and obnoxious.

Yeah, $100,000 wagon. Sure.

Canada is ahead in many, many ways.

A V60 EV would be right up my alley.

I just meant I think the entire bill is more likely than not dead. If it does pass, then I think what’s in there wrt to EVs will probably stay the same. Maybe the union-made bonus will drop, but maybe not because it’s not that significant.

As far as the EV-only, the BBB proposal is for EVs and EVs with <2 gallon range-extender tanks. The more typical PHEVs are out. So that is progress.

The tax code is encouraging you to do you with my tax dollars.

Canada’s been ahead of the US in vehicle lighting before. DRLs were mandatory in Canada (1990) long before they will be required in the US.

I get it, Jason, but didn’t we end up with the ubiquitous 2.0L 4 because of competition? Every manufacturer striving to one up each other? If there’s a standard 2.0 I4, innovation will end.
