Boomer generation has left the world worse off than the one they were born into. I don’t see that as controversial or debatable.

Dude get over it... those cars were nearly a decade old... WHEN THE C4C PROGRAM EXISTED.

I believe a lot of this can still be attributed to Cash for Clunkers.

Oh, it’s not by dollar amount, it’s measured by take-home pay. Well the reason is obvious, it’s that Gen Z and Millennials, and to a lesser extend Gen X, get paid absolute garbage compared to Boomers who pulled up the ladder behind them, but still need to buy cars.

tbh, it might not really be a zoomer thing. if you’re young and making shitty money and the average price of a new car is like $40K, then there you go.

Though it pains me to commit the next few words to the immortality of the internet, Senator Rubio is probably right

Auto mfr’s overestimate 0-60 times. This thing will do it in 7.0. It will still get burned by an Odyssey and moreseo the Pilot. This powertrain is still pretty ass for the price, especially in CVT form.

My commuter is a 2017 Volt Premium.  Everyone that sits in it (up front) remarks on how much more premium it is versus other bowtie products.  Everyone that sits in it (out back) bitches the entire time.  Personally it’s a great little commuter (I’m a big guy and 6'2") that next year will be a great first car for my

I see no harm and hope they had fun, but for me, standing in the cold for something not necessary to life and limb, is just dumb.

It’s such an easy target. Boomers and Corvette owners. But then again, eff the Boomers because they effed everyone that came behind them by pulling up the ladder.

The gen. 2 Chrysler 200 had a lot more swagger and swankiness than other midsize cars. It was somewhat hamstrung by the problematic early 9-speed ZF transaxle, and by Chrysler’s heretofore dismal reputation for building passenger cars.

I was thinking they’d just take the option to have it delivered directly to an argon-filled bubble in a Barrett-Jackson warehouse without its wheels ever touching the ground, to sit and appreciate for twenty years.

I like it but ended up with a CX-30 Turbo. Has all you want

YOUR NOT THE BOSS OF ME!

But I *do* keep peeking at used Contis in case I get an case of old guy fever.  They are just pretty American luxobarges, and I could see one fitting the bill as the road trip car for me, FWD or AWD.

The AWD/CVT combo of the Nissan Juke. I genuinely liked the Juke when it first came out. What I didn’t like was that if you wanted the AWD version, you had to have the CVT. I believe the FWD cars had the option to row your own, and the Juke R had a dual-clutch auto.

Never change, Musk fellators

MK8 GTI/R’s infotainment/HVAC interface.

Chevy Volt, the rear seat was just too small - I’m sure it was a dealbreaker for a lot of potential buyers.

I used a vacuum extractor to change the oil in my wifes car. Since like the original commentor my wifes car has top mounted filter. It made changing the oil so simple. I think I got dirtier changing the air filter than the oil.
