AMG Monoblocks are but an online order away. And they look good on EVERY W1xx Merc

Going through this with a car loan right now. The “our soft credit pull won’t affect your credit score” is the biggest pile of BS. I am flabbergasted at how badly they screwed your application up. Did you call them back to tell them that you can’t buy the motorcycle now because they damaged your credit so badly?

Wow this car for $47K is pretty insane compared to the pre-pandemic Chevy Bolt, which is more or less equivalent. Back in the good ol’ days you could get a Bolt LT for like ~$23K and a Premium for maybe $28K after incentives and tax rebates.

Classic economic supply/demand/price is functioning. The amount of wealthy people that will pay whatever is not unlimited. Inflated prices in tandem with higher interest rates is keeping people out of the market.

Depending if they can charge overnight & package volume - a Gen 1 volt. The hatch is bigger than it looks especially with the rear seats folded down.

Directional wheels, they sometimes look ok on one side where the direction makes sense with the motion of the wheel... but they always look awkward to down right stupid on the other side where the direction of the wheel and the direction of the design are going against each other.

Tesla just dumped billions into the problem and they’ve been doing this for a lot longer than two years. They also scaled this by creating supercharging stations to spread the cost across multiple superchargers. These dealers are paying for upgrades for a single charger so the per unit cost is much higher.

No shit, because there weren’t EVs around to build infrastructure to service. It’s called adaptation. Gas stations weren’t planned out when everyone rode around on horses either.

I don’t think it makes sense to look at this thing’s features, we need to actually look at how it is being used. Is it constantly docked, and somebody lives in there? It’s a house. Does it move around a lot and is only docked temporarily, and nobody lives in there when it’s docked? It’s a boat.

> So the Government can burn that money under the auspice of “Common Good”, and yet that money also helped pay for Pfizer to run commercials during the NCAA tourney and sponsor the freakin’ Oscars?

Membership for living in this country requires everyone to pay an amount to keep a certain standard of living. Do you like roads? Living in an area of the country where there are too many dirt roads, I can tell you that is not a solution, and even then they need upkeep.

The casino boat I worked at briefly in college had to fire up the engines and move once per year to remain legally a boat. While this was a river boat and in a different state, it was still a boat who’s entire existing was a legal loophole.

On the other hand, the bling and opulence at many car dealer showrooms these days indicates that they can afford these electrical upgrades. A Toyota dealership near me quadrupled its footprint a few years ago. And I’m not talking just about its parking lot.

Let’s be real here... yeah shit’s expensive, but even if they were to install them, will people even bother going to the dealer, just so they can sit in the dealer lot to charge?

To me, it kind of makes sense for dealerships to install fast chargers. Many small towns that don’t have a Supercharger or similar have a dealership, and they’re usually right off the highway. The dealerships already have a customer lounge for the service center with coffee and a TV playing bad daytime shows.

From what I’ve heard, yes. If a dealership wants to get allocations of new electric vehicles (and potentially even for PHEVs), they have to have a certain level of charging capability.

Wait, this is sarcasm, right? Subaru getting praise for their interiors?

Please don’t say things whithout verifing : according to the California Energy Commission, in 2018 California produced 68% of it’s needs in electricity. And amount thoose 68% only 32% is renewable energy.

Vehicles were same color. Seller posted pics of unwrecked car but the vin of the damaged one. So the VIN did match. That’s why I mentioned the color in the piece.
