Agreed with this.

Agreed about the J body. The most convertible sales of the 80s and 90s. Clean lines. Solid driving. Pushed like cows but what k didn’t? And Jalopnik HATES the car. I do remember the ‘GTC Turbo’ package also had the TII / Gettrag if it was ordered with a stick, the auto had the TI.

Hehe you’re right.

Can’t keep a head on a TIII. 15 years ago there were no good new castings. Friends of mine had some swami welding them in Wisconsin somewhere. Good TIII heads are less common than unicorns shitting pure platinum.

Unrelated? The Conquest was also badged a Dodge, and I drove them both when they were new. Off the very same showroom floor. And I can tell you a few things about both.

I drove many of these new.

I have that Shelby Charger. Santa Fe Blue/Radiant Silver. In my garage. With a little extra boost.

But....do ten year old Audis still run?

Ok Mr Subjectivism.

Rear brakes were really fucked in those things.

They ‘look ‘ well?

‘New reeems and ebbyting’

A bold statement made in the op title, and I always check.
