And, you want to track a car that will never have ecu-promoted loss of power heat soak issues?

Hehehehehehehe I fuckin' KNEW it.

Ummm.

And that whole period in the '70s and '80s when you were forced to make 7 litre V8s produce 200hp – it's hard to imagine that happening anywhere else on the planet.

Did somebody say handbrake turns? They're an absolute blast, at least when you're not paying for all the damage you've done by hooning the living daylights out of them. Don't ever buy a car from a rental lot.

wut

Because Sarah Palin.

Now playing

Ummm. I seriously can't believe this is not on this list. Did I miss some fine print?

That's Peart for ya, though. No way it would be something practical......

Er ah....hmmmmm...kinda put on the spot here a bit, Torch....ok,

One of a few reasons BMW took a nose dive. in the mid 00s. Parts of that interior are awful.

Or if you need to go ditch banging, or pit someone, or run them off the road.

Ok maybe this dates me. But going back to the 90s, there was no other unmarked than a Caprice, a Crown Vic, or old Diplomat.

Good reasoning, but the majority of 'undercover' have no choice but to drive standard motor pool offerings.

Agreed.

Again, mostly the shortening was to appeal to networks to broadcast live during primetime and not use up a whole afternoon's programming.

Maintenance?

I worked for a Dodge dealer all through the '90s. Drove many many Gen I and II Vipers. While I never actually tracked the car, I did some stupid stupid things with them on the street.

I will own one of these. And this looks like a clean example with the right tweaks.

They were a twitchy handling, take along two pairs of underwear chassis that only the best of professional drivers could get the most out of. The limit was the thinnest black line you can imagine, after which there was no reeeling it back in. Once over the limit, the car would spin uncontrollably.
