yeah maybe he has no idea how gamestop works

Well, what you were doing *was* illegal, so they had to fire you once they found out about it.. But they put you in a no-win situation, and that sucks.

That’s the point. They’ve created a situation where the employees actually suffer for selling new. My only sympathy here is with their employees, so the solution is simple. I help the employees by not shopping there. Ever.

A former manager myself, my store was left with one key holder and myself to run the entire Christmas season. In which we averaged 1/2 million dollar sales each month and $25,000 dollars in trade. I was there from the Wednesday before Thanksgiving through the middle of January open to close every day. I was also

I worked there for like 4 months and I was fired because I did a return wrong and lost the store like $4. At most I think I should have been written up and had the money taken out of my check.

Well it’s pretty simple for me, really. If I want a new copy of a game, and Gamestop tells me they have no new copies available for sale, then I’ll take my business to a competitor.

Worked for Gamestop for 3 years as a store manager. I was fired for paying my employees out of pocket to help me out off the clock because corporate pulled all my hours during Christmas time so I was soloing a fucking store by myself. I doubt none of this.

Having worked at Gamestop for a short time, I am in no way surprised by any of this. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll never shop there again.

We need to stop this “religious freedom” bullshit by denying services to Christians en masse. Same with the open carry law stuff by getting minorities to utilize it.

I can’t stand that look of awe and childlike adoration on a grown woman’s face. It’s the look every woman with one marble rolling around in her head gives her husband when he’s got two marbles rolling around. Duggard shit

Ladies and Gentlemen, your potential new SCOTUS Justice:

Agreed. I don’t care if it’s bougy, I love Klimt. (Probably because my Mom had two prints of The Kiss in her living room.)

That CNN article pretty much agrees with HuffPo; terrible management sunk the company and the union made concessions to try and save jobs.

Again, I’m not seeing anything in your post that isn’t like the other aspects of the job I mentioned. If you don’t like having to join a union, you’re free to work somewhere else.

What good is a solid economy if the workers don’t benefit from it? What you’ve seen over the last 30 years is exactly that. Economy has grown, real wages have shrunk.

I work for a non-union insulation company. On residential jobs, I get $16/hour. In the past three months, I haven’t had a full week of residential work.

News to you: You’re not a liberal.

More news: If you think a single worker on a factory line can “negotiate” his own shift, hourly wage, lunch breaks, etc., you need to stop licking psychoactive toads.

Nobody is forced to do either. You know that a job has a union going into it.

“I am about as liberal as they come...”

So other people are going to berate you but let’s talk about this for a second like adults :) The union is a collective, like Social Security, Welfare and really all other forms of insurance and community. We pay taxes, we pay insurance fees, etc. so it makes sense there would be a union fee. Also this fee typically
