Weird to have a bias about a genre you don't watch.

I think a lot of people were expecting a flat out horror movie, which it definitely was not.

You don't watch a lot of horror movies, do you? Horror movies are no more inherently bad than action movies or comedies. Just because a good chunk are bad doesn't define the whole genre. Hush, You're Next, Don't Breathe, Green Room, and more have all been impressive. Get Out is a well shot, well acted, well directed

But will Aya Cash finally get the credit she deserves for giving the best performance on TV?

Also, for anyone who's seen Hounds of Love: Sexual assault scenes aren't really for me to put things lightly, but I find the plot and what I've read about the movie to be engaging. I've sat through all of the seasons of AHS, the first episode of Handmaid's Tale, and Room, none of which really fucked me up all that

I remember when I commented something about that on here after seeing the movie, someone was like "It's just a movie, lol, don't take it so seriously", like, I've gotta overlook 99% of horror movies making mental illness look scary and dangerous, I'm allowed to complain about this blatantly dehumanizing one.

Does it get better after the first 30-45 minutes or so? I tried and just found myself incredibly bored, but I'd give it another shot if it picks up.

What DID you like?

Get Out is genius, best horror movie of the decade.

I've seen a lot of hate for it on places like twitter, but I thought It Comes at Night was a brilliant piece of paranoia thriller.

It came out in the last few weeks of 2016.

I wasn't a huge fan of the pacing or writing for the most part, but some positives were: Brilliant acting all around, incredibly well shot, very tense for the first hour or so, and it's fairly unpredictable. There are worse movies to watch, but there are certainly plenty of better as well.

This season was incredibly bad, JLD doesn't deserve to even get an Emmy nom for it.

I actually did love Carmen! One of the brightest spots of the show for me. Tammé seemed fun, but I haven't seen much of her.

Halfway through the season and Debbie is still the only character I like. Alison Brie is doing a good job, but Ruth is insufferable.

The acting is fine for the most part - Alison Brie kinda annoys me, but she's doing a good job. The actress who plays Debbie stands out as really good to me. The writing and the show itself are kinda too much though, it's never as good as it thinks it is.

No more Playing House coverage? Is nothing sacred?

Begging Tina Fey to make Mean Girls 2.

My order goes 1, 6, 3, 2, 4, 5, and 7. The third definitely has it's bright spots, but I also had issues with most of the actual torture, whereas the story was fairly decent.

The first Saw and the sixth are brilliant. The rest are bottom of the barrell garbage.
