Laura Dern is a gift.

The acting (mostly Sarah and Matthew) is genuinely campy enough to be enjoyable too.

One thing that was pointed out to me once that stuck with me was the fact that Mater lives in a junkyard full of car parts. That seems normal until you think about the fact that a junkyard full of car parts is basically a graveyard full of dead bodies and body parts. Terrifying.

Oh, it's bad, but Judy somehow sells it as coming from a genuinely emotional place. That's what I was referring to.

Nah, I'm not talking about the writing, which was pretty bad, but Judy's acting.

Sattler, Malcolm, and Grant had twice the personality of Chris Pratt playing a smug asshole. Howard's character at least was sort of a character, instead of being a more annoying version of Chris Pratt, but the kids were 10x more abysmal than the kids in the original.

And in Jurassic World! Maybe they're set in the same multiverse.

Bryce makes you think of unattractive middle aged men? I think of a frat boy who says "brewskis" and "lit" a lot.

No, but at least the first movie managed to wring some likability out of any of its characters - something Jurassic World was incapable of doing.

Even her five second phone call with Bryce Dallas Howard in Jurassic World was the closest that movie got to having any emotional poignancy.

I was about to ask why I laughed so much then, but then I remembered all that movie gave me was a nap.

Nah, it's the DMV episode. It's a good episode, but not nearly as good as the where Abbi is competitive. That's the one with Vanessa Williams and the sister act musical number, and it actually has the best cap of the season: A video of young Abbi biting another child before running into the woods. When they're looking

I hope this season isn't the last we've seen of Maya's Dionne Warwick.

Then why did you read the review for the season 3 finale? I hate The Big Bang Theory, so I don't really put in time to read reviews from people who enjoy it.

I'm watching it right now! But yeah, it's still one of the best shows on TV. Downside of that is that we all have such high expectations.

It was genuinely terrific, such great moments for so many characters. I haven't seen the same wow moments, such as Selina and Gary's fight or Amy finally lashing out at Selina, this season, except maybe from Timothy Simons.

She has the durty of being the single most normal person on the show, even moreso than Donna I'd say, with the single most normal storyline and yet she always managed to make it interesting and almost tragic to watch at times.

Did he mention he's weird?

When you're struggling to find space for someone as talented as Anna Chlumsky, you have a slight issue.

I thought last season was one of its best, though not its very best.
