It was also heavily telegraphed. What will he do with this glass this guy who flaked on him handed him like he was a waiter at Denny's? LOL!

This song would've fit better to me. Tindersticks - Put your Love in me

Daughter serves foreclosure papers, meets lady who has missing daughter who conveniently had her last known job at other daughter's estranged father's guru institute. This is no 'Babel'. It's also not 'Inherent Vice' or even 'Pulp Fiction'. It's just True Detective post-season one. Shabby. Truly shabby.

Intro song was wrong for the imagery in my opinion. Didn't mesh like last season's did. Last season's song will stay with me for a long long time, and I love Cohen.

Yeah. It was Athena who was dumb. Not her father I think.

Does anyone buy that Vaughn's character could be some kindof an underworld criminal mastermind loaded to the gills with cash and assets with only one cop on his payroll?

The only tolerable performances out of the whole bunch for me were David Morse playing a guru and Farrell's partner. The partner's lines like "Hey. It's ok. We're cops." Or "I have a standing order for you to burn all my shit to the ground if I die." lol. Funny. Those two lightened the mood somewhat, but not nearly

I'm fine with overhead shots of snarling traffic and streets but I counted like five overhead shots of factories. lol. There'd better be a factory involved by episode 8. All I'm saying. :P

What in the hell do all the overhead shots of factories have to do with anything? It's like Lin just watched what Fukunaga did and copied it, except that there were NO SCENES INVOLVING FUCKING FACTORIES. It's ridiculous. I could see doing shots of high speed rail or run-down strip malls and strip clubs to echo the

Arkapaw is a phenomenal cinematographer. I've been in awe of everything he's worked on. Probably my favorite right now. Glad you mentioned him. Fukunaga gets all the praise but Arkapaw needs some too…

"MacDonald really surprised me only because I don't usually like her…"

Because the quality has suffered dramatically. We don't have a-list leads, we get a show shot on digital video with multiple directors, and we get a rushed teleplay from Nic with little time to formulate a new plot that would hold up against S1's plot, and what does he decide to stuff into these episodes? His cheesy

I thought I was watching the second coming of Christ all through S1 until we got to the third act. I loved it that much. I must've watched most of those episodes 20 times each and formulated theories in my head and on reddit. Hated the ending. I knew then and there that Nic had absolutely nothing up his sleeve. I

Here's another critic going in on Nic and his second season of the show…

loooooooool! I just posted that review because it was the harshest I've read. It amused me. I really expected more humor to be there in the second season but I don't think the actors really grasped the dialogue. Woody and Matthew are hard acts to follow I guess. All those years spent with Harrelson on Cheers allowed

What about the killer knowing Rust though? I thought it was definitely implied that there was some slow murmur of supernatural things going on underneath.

OUCH!

Well there was the floating in the air spiral galaxy, Jordan, as well as one of the killers knowing a lot about Rust having never met the man, saying he dreamed about him. lol..

Wow. lol.

I did. It looked shot on video instead of film like last season, and it looked like Lin was trying to copy Fukunaga's style without actually being a real visual artist himself. Just my opinion though. Don't let it dampen your enjoyment on my account, Beema. I'm happy that someone liked it.
