He was amazing. I didn't feel like I was watching a tv show, watching him felt like what it might be like to actually have someone walk up to you that you love and confess that they've killed someone. I would chunk my phone too, I would question why I pick such poor choices in mates, I would just be utterly floored

It just makes me wonder why we learned so much from the present tense timeline because all our answers have came from that timeline and we've visited it a total of ten times, if you and others are correct though I'll probably discontinue this show, because I was thinking this show was like going to be interesting and

Well perhaps then it's my problem for believing this show was doing something more clever and interesting than it was really trying to do, and it's really really basic instead.

Juice went and finally made me like him, he had some moments of great acting there, his face would almost wash over with the look of ease, empathy, and acceptance. He always thought he was a coward but I never saw him as such, he was just desperately trying to gain love and favor from a family so chaotic and unable to

I would honestly be surprised if Gemma dies. She's a survivor whether she wants to survive or not, she's just got that dna of someone scared of dying and is willing to do whatever it takes to avoid it for as long as possible, good comment though. We'll see if your prediction is right.

We all knew it was coming. This episode was a lot like watching the movie Titanic, or The Perfect Storm. You are really just watching something like this for the moments of humanity amidst the devastation, and are watching the actors try and connect with the emotions and I must say Hunnam finally stepped up his acting

But why? She's been rude, brisk, demeaning, accusatory, and plain old nutty around him when he's a man that seems calm as a cucumber? I guess opposites really do attract! LOL!

I just wasn't certain I was explaining my problem with it correctly is all. I don't think anyone's an idiot, richforman. lol. My problem was I wasn't convinced I was saying it right. Self-doubt is not an outward insult. :P

Good idea! You may be right!

But the present-tense timeline isn't a memory(unless what we're really looking at here is Noah's book). This is where your idea(which is a perfectly valid way of looking at it btw)becomes muddled to me. For each and every segment inside of every episode we've had a glimpse into the present tense timeline which is

The point is it wasn't set up that way in this show from the get-go, lara. the device was tied to the interrogation.

It has to be something coming, like this is all Noah's second book, some kindof mindfuck but I'm really worried it's not and it was just a narrative fuckup.

So you're assuming they're still recounting this story to the detective but they just didn't show that fact? But why would they both talk about the cocaine smuggling ring? Couldn't Alison get in big trouble or ruin her ex-family if she did? The first five episodes she was doing everything she could to hide it! It

So you noticed it too? They are playing fast and loose with the structure and what we assumed to be narrative rules. This is even worse than True Detective because at least that followed it's own rules it set, this one truly went off it's own rails between the two timelines. We should by all rights be in the present

I didn't reference Carrie's response to it though.

It's not just you.

Yes! YOU UNDERSTAND! THANK YOU! I thought I was crazy for a minute and was seeing something that wasn't there! :P You could be right, and it's just my mathematical mind noticing a structural flaw that most viewers wouldn't notice and it wouldn't even affect the plot in the end, but it was incredibly noticeable to me.

But we didn't see them with the usual clip of present tense chatting with the detective this episode unlike the previous 5 and according to the episode preceding this the interrogation was concluded. Also, neither Noah or Alison would willingly talk about the drug smuggling ring to the detective would they? Alison

It's the only possible explanation! I'm telling you! Otherwise it makes no sense! You understand now. I think you get what I'm talking about.

But it makes no structural narrative sense sodannysaid? At the end of each segment in each episode we concluded with a present tense moment between the detective and Alison and Noah. Now that the interrogation is over we should be by all accounts at present tense in the story right now but we're not. I feel like you
