S3 was what was a waste of time to me. Gyp was a cartoon baddie. I thought he was over-the-top ridiculous, but what do I know. He won an emmy, so meh.

hahaha

I don't expect any "happy endings" for any of these characters, Robert.

I believe it is the best season of them all. I thought the opener had a shaky start and the second episode was slightly off but still good but by the third episode, I knew this season was going to be utterly brilliant. This season's writing and acting are quite simply astonishing.

There are similarities though. Of course some will like BE more and others will like PB more, as they do have a slight different style to them of production, but they're both gangster series set in the 1900's and they both are packed with fantastic actors. Tom Hardy is just killing it this season even though his

For me just the one thing, pushing the kid out the window was enough for me. He's a dirtbag and always will be. There is no redemption for that.

For those who like Boardwalk Empire there's a high likelihood that you'll also like Peaky Blinders, especially with Tom Hardy joining S2. He's brought a bit of acting heft and an air of menace to the show. It's the other top drama period piece gangster series out right now. :)

Why did they swap things around I wonder replacing Bob with Dale who died much earlier on the show but in the comic book dies around this time?

Which brings us to an important question, if you eat an infected human will you turn into a zombie even if you cook the meat to well done?

After a stellar opener this episode was right back to the same old group vs group vs zombies shenanigans.

Agreed. It seemed to be Nucky's first true corruption, this is where it all blossomed. It's fitting that this world begins and ends revolving around this arc.

You were only watching for Mickey? That's hilarious.

two words: peaky blinders

I'm talking about Alison's statements though. In ep 1 she says he follows her, tries to take a shower with her, and forcibly kisses her out of nowhere and voyeuristically and creepily watches her husband have sex with her. She makes it out in Ep 1 that he's almost like a potential rapist/stalker and yet by the middle

Does it feel like the two making out seemed a bit rushed and incoherent from Alison's pov? In her story in the first episode Alison makes it seem like he's a major creeper and by episode two of Alison's story she just all of a sudden stops thinking that and says she's been thinking about him too all week and kisses

I disagree. Not always, remember when he smarted off one too many times around Jimmy and Jimmy hurled him off about a three story hotel lobby balcony? Remember when he pissed Nucky off by flirting with that girl and caught a vicious beatdown? He did dumb things a lot, he should've been an entertainer/comedian/actor

What a brutally sad episode. The past and the present merge this season in ways that allow you to connect with all the characters and look beyond the decisions they made to be able to see the flawed, scared, hurt emotionally vulnerable child that resides inside each of them, and each of us for that matter…

The other issue is that there's no money to be made in it hardly anymore, and that's sortof ok too. It can be just like painting was. You do it for the art, not the money.

I don't know that I could agree with this completely, because almost anyone can afford to buy a 3 year old desktop for around 100-150 dollars for the family to share, and that's all you really need anymore to start fumbling around with sounds. That and a voice, but yes, traditional instruments are quite expensive.

Art, fashion, and music all move in cycles. We're just patiently waiting for the next movement and the next genius to kick it off…
