It worked fine in Spartacus, don't know why it wouldn't here. In fact one of the hottest scenes in Spartacus was the one where Ilithyia and Glaber bathed in the blood of someone they just murdered while having sex. I think it happened twice in that series, lol, but perhaps that would best be left for later in the

If you didn't like the 1st you may not like the show, but once it's in the past I found it very fun and engaging. Agreed on the voiceover narration. It's a lazy technique that could've been avoided through the use of visual cues, flashbacks, and the camera focusing on subtle facial gestures.

He's wanted. He'll probably bargain his life for hers and then she'll have to convince the rest to help rescue him again all because she broke her promise. I'm sure a book reader could tell you exactly what happens though.

You're right about that. I hate Maslany's Tatiana. Also the male clone was just utterly ridiculous and unnecessary. If she wanted to do it to prove she could well all she proved was she couldn't and there's a limit. lol.

He didn't do sad Frank well. Idk. Would be interesting to see though I guess. ;)

I felt the same way with that scene and it's happened quite a few times now and Jamie's face was super hammy with a silly smirk perched in the window. Besides, every time she wanders off on her own she has to be rescued. I know we all love a good damsel in distress fantasy, but she's starting to seem stupid, doesn't

They should've waited for sure until they had a full season's worth of material. Nobody likes being teased and then made to wait for months until you practically forget everything and who everyone is. This show isn't as complex as GoT, but I'm sure I'll forget certain details by April.

It's a bit of a confusing and muddled slog to get to this episode for sure, but I'm glad I stuck with it. The structure is real similar to the U.K. show Utopia and I love that show so I stuck with Intruders. The most recent episode is terrific in my opinion and Bear's score is fantastic! Super creepy.

I might watch the first couple next season but it could be it for me on MoS as well… Alright! Get ready! This Intruders episode is kray-kray!

Ahh

Agreed. I'm still going to stick with it because there have been as you say very special very magical acting moments and spectacular scenery as well as the fact that it's always fun to watch anything even half-way Scottish and Bravehearty. :P

Well good, that alleviates my overall concerns for the long arc at least, but not my concerns with the choice to show two timelines at once and not from Claire's perspective. I don't think I like that.

Voiceovers really aren't necessary. The actress playing Claire clearly has enough skill with facial control to show us what she's feeling, confusion, wonder, etc. There would be ways to show us as well by diving into the past to remember a phrase Frank spoke without needing a voiceover to narrate, it's a lazy

Agreed. The Knick for me is filling that void of hope that I had for TD.

We definitely agree with this aspect of the show. Claire does a lot of dumb things and certainly in real life back then there would be awful consequences for that. I hope as the show goes forward they do decide to deviate a bit from the books in order to bring that GoT realism that the times would pretty much demand

Yes, it was.

Yes, it does. I haven't read the books, so it's good to know. Thanks, mayonegg. :)

I found this to be the first episode I actually disliked, and not just a little bit, a lot. I found the pacing to be off, I found it to be too hurried, it had a harlequin romance feel to it instead of a more realistic natural vibe, I disliked taking the focus away from Claire's perspective and dividing it up between

I'm kindof wondering if she'll be playing for both teams, nice guy Bertie for daytime dates, and Thackery for some dark and devious night-time fun.

I felt like she was thinking to herself, I've always been fond of him so I'd better jump on the chance to fuck for love or lust before my father-in-law-to-be starts raping me.
