Sonia didn't use an lol at the end of her the leftovers review and look what happened to her. It was the online equivalent of the torch mob from Frankenstein! If she had put an lol there none of that would've happened!

The stakes are getting to be right or being wrong. What car do you drive btw? lol.

Again, I am not taking it as such, it's just a barometer of opinions of people watching the show. HBO sortof takes it seriously as well since there's a girl that works on the show in some capacity on the Leftovers IMDB page that defends the show against any and all negative threads. Have you actually read the comments

I figured it was, but there was no lol at the end to tell me for sure.

WTF? So none of you true detective fans visited the true detective reddit? Bullshit. lol

It'll probably be Friedkin for a few episodes and then to mimic his style they'll grab the directors of Hellraiser: Bloodline, Joyride 3, and Cabin Fever 2. Faster and cheaper. ;P

british accents do make a difference, french accents even more so imo. ;)

Also, I wasn't trying to make it sound like IMDB has any control over the outcomes of shows, was simply pointing out that the leftovers has a very low rating and tons of poor reviews and it can at least be a barometer for the show from a casual standpoint. It's one of HBO's lowest rated shows on there and that does

I remember that. People love to play detective, and that's why I believe Nic should flood season two with clues and teasers and red herrings. He has mentioned Twin Peaks was one of his favorite shows, so why not? Twin Peaks(as well as Lost)flooded the show with those things and it had tons of people hooked. That's

The same one! I deleted my other one because I had a stalker from worldstar hip hop comment on every site I went to. lol. Not leaving a comment on worldstar hip hop again.

Yes, she did a very good accent but she's not a kiwi.

A lot of us thought the last 3 episodes were pretty bad in comparison to the earlier ones. Others thought they were fine. I began to have an innate fear that Nic is bad with endings like Stephen King. I hope that isn't true. For me the 3rd act was rubbish.

Then we disagree. I don't want to see satan or angels or old gods or vampires or anything like that, but I want some twin peaks-type supernatural stuff to be going on.

lol no.

For sure. I'm also hoping that we'll see Rust again in the final season of TD's series finale. Perhaps Nic could set it in the time period when Rust was in Alaska or when he was deep cover in the motorcycle gang.

Pizzolatto said they'd be using multiple directors this season, but I hope Friedkin gets to do at least the first couple and I think he will. They just need one good director to set the style and tone for others to mimic.

Set and costume designers as well as the cinematographer and director began tossing in symbols everywhere they could find(and they were probably only doing this to make everything gel better but it had a consequence to the viewers), and it's this which led people to start theorizing like crazy, I don't think Nic had

Yeah, it was bad, but some of the ideas it toyed with were great. I'm still waiting for someone to be willing to tackle Barker's The Great and Secret Show.

It didn't have to go to the old ones cosmic horror and have 4th dimensional beings cracking open a portal into our world or something, but he could've made carcosa a real thing sortof like twin peak's red curtain room.

What I'm hoping for is a better version of Lord of Illusions. I want him to toy with the idea that what is going on could be or might not be supernatural but then totally let it go bat-shit cosmic horror.
