I would do this if I lived in Texas, but it's not about the tax. It's about New Mexicos awesome license plates and lack of heinous window stickers. (I am biased being from New Mexico and having sweet turquoise plates).

I would do that just to skirt the stupid window sticker. Hell, I’d even pay the Use Tax if I lived in Texas and had to stare at that ugly sticker.

On that subject- how long before “1 day fantasy leagues” are declared gambling? I mean, I’m fine with them, but it seems pretty clear that they’re not fantasy leagues, they’re gambling.

He has a legal residence in the state and if you live in “West Texas” the likelihood of seeing cars with NM license plates and driving badly, is a common occurance. So, I suspect he will continue to get away with it. Not enough red flags to be worth an investigation.

A quality Multi-Meter, and loads of common sense is all you need. Having an HV rescue tool(Literally a broom) is nice but only needed if you really are some ShadeTree whacko.

back in mah day, you could crash into a tree at 100mph and just need to pound a ding out of the bumper!

yeah but i think this is the easiest car to Debug maybe....not wrench....i’m already scared thinking of all the voltage warning stickers

Pickup trucks. Simplicity and abundant under hood space makes working a breeze. You can change the serpentine belt in 30 seconds. Try that in any modern front wheel drive car.

People can shit on the Probe’s silly name and FWD all they want but DAMN if it wasn’t a pretty car. I’d honestly say the early-mid 90’s was one of the best times for car designs.

They are the best racing drivers in the world. For that type of car. Just like how F1 guys are the best in the world for their cars. There’s a reason you don’t see crossover guys be successful.

They do boast, don’t they?

Every turbo/supercharged MINI does this, people love it (except my dad, who worries it means my engine is about to explode).

Kinda seriously, this is consistent with the contemporary trend of companies not wanting to train employees (because training costs money, and that cuts into shareholders’ profits!) So they complain that colleges aren’t training people for the very specific jobs they offer, when they should really be trying to develop

I think I’d like to see you try to “lay it down” and then get away from a bike while sliding on the pavement, in a way that a) prevents a bike —> you —> guardrail pileup if one was going to happen, and b) doesn’t end up injuring you worse than what was already going to happen.

There’s an entirely missed dimension in the post above, that I think needs exploration.

Regarding your Tahoe drivetrain comment, the Tahoe is only available with the 5.3L engine while the Escalade is only available with the 6.2L Engine. So no, it doesn’t have the drivetrain from a Tahoe.

The Trimotor is such an awesome plane.

Ford Trimotor?

ITS NOT 101HP!!! Saying this bike is 101HP is like saying that nobody is going to drink more than two beers out of a six pack because it says drink responsibly on the pack.

Yeah, it’s amazing people think that with examples like Afghanistan and Iraq isn’t it?
