Stephen Colbert took a pay cut to go to CBS. He felt like he had fully enjoyed his previous role and wanted to do something new. Come to think of it, that’s also Borat’s character arc in Talladega Nights...

Now playing

The way things are going, Juan Pablo Montoya will likely hold the F1 fastest lap record for a long, long time. How did he do in NASCAR?

On the defensive side it would be cornerback that nobody wants to play. Just like in real life I guess.

This is basically a motorcycle re-imagined as a 4 wheel vehicle and it was designed by a motorcycle design shop. On that basis I’d say it has a lot to do with motorcycles.

This is a motorcycle re-imagined as a 4 wheeled vehicle, I believe ATGATT applies here.

What’s this bit hanging from the steering?

Is it any less safe than a motorcycle?

I believe that in nearly every case where someone decides to “lay down” a functioning motorcycle that they would have been better off keeping the sticky side down. However, in a lowside crash the bike starts off ahead of the rider.

Rolling this would be no worse than high-siding a motorcycle.

What does Jezebel have to do with it?

It’s not the “d bags” fault, it’s simply the only outcome of heavy traffic with the roads designed the way they are. It doesn’t matter how many lanes you add if there is one lane that is nearly stopped it is not safe for the other lanes to continue at normal speed without some sort of divider.

I think you’re missing the point of what this is for. It’s a recovery vehicle, that’s why it’s called the Retriever.

The powertrain shares a lot in common with Chevy pickups of the era as it has a small block v8 and 4L60 transmission. Also it’s body-on-frame. It’s basically a low-rider SUV.

Yup, I have what is widely considered one of the worst small block chevys of all time (for gasoline, at least) and it’s stone-cold reliable with 250k miles. I love the small block.

I commute against the rush so I hardly ever sit in traffic. It’s great!

I edited my comment. They have 6.2 Tahoes in Russia.

Hell, put me on the list a hundred times. Maybe sometime in the next decade 290’s traffic will clear up and you’ll finally be able to do something about it.

Well Doug, it turns out you were right. GM builds a 6.2L Tahoe in Russia for the Russian market.

Has GM actually sold any Tahoes in this configuration or did it just make its way into the catalog somehow? I’m 99% sure any references to a 2015+ Tahoe with the 6.2 are in error.
