Congrats on the purchase!  Above 3k is the sweet spot.  Especially sound wise.

I wouldn’t trade my 997 for a 996 of same model, but I’d still drive a 996 in a heart beat.

I always liked the E46 interior.  Thought it was classy and well executed with nice materials to touch.

Technically those are 993 turbo twists.  They just carried them over to the 996.  The 996 turbo twist wheels are flatter.

The consensus is 997.  Especially the 997.2.  My 997.1 could pass for a modern interior with the Alpine wireless CarPlay headunit I put in it.  Brings out of the stone ages.

I used to think that about them to til I actually drove one.  It’s a Porsche.  Nothing else.  😁

Yeah.  That car probably was a blast to drive.  I’m America, the E46 M3 > E36

I don’t think I’d buy either of those cars at that price point.

I had the same thought.  330i with the sport package would be the perfect convertible imo.

Close.  I see a couple out there for 15,500

I see what you did there...lol

It sure was.  Loved that game.

Agree wholeheartedly.  Cash only should be the only way you are making this purchase.  Hell I can’t even buy a good lawn tractor for $2500.

$2500 is a shitload of money?  I mean I guess every body makes a different amount of cash so their idea of shitload is different.  But really?  :)

But honestly.. a ppi on a $2500 car?  You’re talkin 10% of the freakin value of the car for a ppi.  This is buy it and drive it til it breaks.

You really think a dealer who says cash only, no trades, no financing is going to be interested in replacing a hood for you on a $2500 car?  lol

Not to mention that parts and labor will be cheaper

You should see the hit S classes take. Similar number but not the same percentage lol
