IIRC, after the complaints that followed the initial airing of that episode, they actually lightened it up for subsequent airings / streaming.

So, four girls total?

Yeah, I don’t know where all this horrible theater audiences exist, but it’s nowhere I’ve ever been.

I’ve been hearing the same complaints about bad theater experiences for decades. Yet, in 40+ years of seeing movies in theaters, I can count the number of such experiences I’ve had on one hand. Maybe these are big city issues? I don’t know, but, either I’ve been extraordinarily lucky all these years, or people are

Iron Man was the first movie Marvel Studios made. Prior to that, Marvel movies were licensed out to other studios. Even then, I wouldn’t call the Blade, X-Men, or Spider-Man movies flops.

People were about sick of Caucasian actors appropriating Asian characters.

I found both seasons delightful, and am disappointed it’s not coming back.  So, more than 12, I guess.

It’s already in black and white.  How will he desaturate the colors even further?

I think many (most?) streaming series could benefit from more episodes, although probably fewer than 20.  These shows that are 100% serialized, I think could benefit from being a little more episodic.

I think there’s a difference between “filler” episodes and “stand-alone” episodes.  I’m sure which is which is in the eye of the beholder, but the former, to me, is when it seems obvious that this episode is just to pad out the episode count, while the latter is focused on fleshing out the world and the characters.

I don’t think what you describe was ever the case with network television. A show like Buffy would have the overall season arc planned out and the first few scripts done when they started filming, but they continued writing the rest of the episodes as they went along, and pick up stories that aren’t really part of the

Seconded.

I was not aware of that.  Thanks for the clarification.

Also, isn’t this “original” movie based off of The Magnificent Seven / Seven Samurai?

It’s already padded as hell. . . and Snyder is talking about a Director’s Cut!

I’m no expert, but my understanding is that trademark just protects the name/logo/etc., not the character itself.

Just give up the Ghostface everyone, shut it down and go home.

For all it’s flaws, I, too, liked it. Given the constraints (2-hour max run time; it needs to be more fun; reshoots are OK, but it still needs to be released in December so execs don’t miss their bonuses; etc. ), it’s remarkable that it’s as good as it is. Zack’s version is, I guess, “better”, but only because it

At most people are just angry that he sometimes directs bad scripts that producers hired him to direct and he didn’t force the producers to let him change THEIR script that THEY hired him to direct with THEIR money.

Tyler Perry. Hmm.
