I think we should all, collectively, forget Bill Maher.
EK: For my part, as someone who was pretty invested in the original Avengers saga, one of the things I appreciated was that I could totally understand and enjoy Endgame without watching every single film/TV show/commercial tie-ins, etc. There are so many callbacks that that’s impossible now, and it’s hard to imagine…
I think they’re just peeling off the street-level heroes into their own sub-Universe.
They should be able to use the Steamboat Willie version of the character in any way they wish. Think about other public domain characters like Sherlock Holmes or Dracula are used. Of course there is a lot less “character” to use with Mickey Mouse, so far.
Did they do any of that with Winnie the Pooh?
And Kim Cattrall’s character from ST VI was originally written to be Saavik, as well. But she wanted to play her own character, so they filed the serial number off the character and renamed her.
I’m sure he’s already picked out shows to delete from Paramount+
Maybe he’s saving all that boring “character development” stuff for the Director’s Cut?
The Matrix, maybe?
Wait, John Oliver is a Wookiee?! I had no idea.
Yes, but you’ll also get an Elongated Man movie to further confuse the public.
Also, “actor was a shitty person in the past” vs “actor is actively a shitty person right now” tends to affect how they’re perceived.
It is there’s a category of things that inspired Barbie and 2001 is included.
I assumed they wanted 3 different directors because they wanted the movies to come out every 2 years, and that’s hard for one director to handle (unless they’re filmed simultaneously). That still doesn’t excuse not having an overall plan for the story, though.
I keep forgetting there even was a third film. I’m pretty sure I never saw it.
You don’t have to go back to the beginning. A lot of people just start with “New Who”, when the show returned in 2005 with the 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston). It was deliberately set up to be a good jumping on point.
Feige mentioned Spider-Man as one of the “Street-Level” heroes (along with Daredevil), so I assume that the idea is to scale him back to being more NYC-centric.
He left Gilmore Girls to do this show, then just phoned it in?
Oh, it’s Power, Book III. At first I assumed it was a new model of laptop. Behold, the PowerBook III!
