Except, the driver with the truck is probably underinsured and a civil lawsuit will net all of $8,000 in seized assets, which won’t pay for the lawyer.

I would like to add “hone in on,” which should be “home in on.” More troubling, of course, is the gross misuse of “literally.” Which is used more often now to mean it’s exact opposite. Please don’t say, “I literally died...” We should be so lucky.

Can we infer, then, that jail is the other ingredient you believe will cure her of her mental disorder?

I see the “Fords are unreliable” comment a lot, and I don’t doubt there is legitimate history that supports it, but I just sold a 2003 F150 with 276,000 miles on it and a 2010 Ford Explorer with 211,000 miles on it. Both had their original drivetrains and only ever required basic maintenance. Of all the cars I’ve

My 2021 Ram is similar. Trans is a dial. Next to that is radio dial. Next to that is HVAC dial. Have absentmindedly turned one when I mean to turn the other, though it’s usually volume instead of HVAC or vice versa.

I think he’s saying that they are harder for an owner to work on the cars.

This sounds like an ultra-rare case of a dealership being dishonest and failing to take responsibility. Thank goodness it’s just this one.

Clearly I did read past the headline or I wouldn’t have seen the photo.

Did the hipster in the first photo write “ragret” on his sign ironically, or is he a bad speller? I think we need an article on that.

In my old house, I put bass shakers like these in my home theater seating. They are pretty great, actually.

It wasn’t my example, it was your example.

So, are you suggesting that the mortgage company should have a say in who you sell your house to in the event you sell it before the mortgage is paid off? Or that they should be free to force you to pay off the house before you can sell it to someone else?

Agreed. Pictures tell an opposite story: meant to put it in reverse, but put it in drive instead.

Counterpoint: keep hiding the screws

These are exceptional times in the car buying world. I’m strongly in the camp of buying desirable (to me) 5 years or, usually, older cars/trucks after the biggest component of depreciation has hit. I have done exactly that for the last 15 years or so. This year, I needed a truck and again visited the used car market.

This is like people stopping at the top of an escalator while they decide which way to go.

Someone buying a Toyota doesn’t know what engine is in their car, but I’d venture that someone buying a Hemi Challenger probably does.
