Reminds me of the Legend of Zelda Tri Force

Not really. (Sort by year: https://www.0-60specs.com/0-60-times/)

How about older people playing older people? Age seems to be the last remaining acceptable bias in our society.

I’m sure they don’t have reams of market analysis to guide their product line decisions.

This is a weird and wonderful project.

Broadly speaking, cars are objectively better. They’re safer, go faster, stop better, etc. However, with a few exceptions, they’ve lost a lot of feel. Feel, in terms of the driving experience, and feel in terms of how they make us feel.

Good chance he’s cashing out to fund some other startup / venture.

How is this clip not from 1950? The fact this nonsense is being spewed today would be funny if it weren’t so sad and scary.

Got screwed by Budget once. We rented a Chevy Equinox “or similar” for a week-long vacation at the beach. Got in to the airport and they tried to give me a Jeep Renegade, which is substantially smaller with little to no cargo area for luggage. I calmly explained that this was not a similar vehicle, because the cargo

This is a tired Jalopnik contrarian trope. Snow tires are the most important thing, but AWD with snow tires > FWD with snow tires. I live in the snow belt around Lake Erie and have had FWD, RWD and AWD vehicles with snow tires and AWD is simply superior.

I was stopped in traffic with the windows closed next to a city bus, when the bus tire blew out. Scared the crap out of me and left my ear ringing for the better part of the day.

Except, terrorism is a distinct crime committed by non-brown people, too.

I drove, at one point, small commercial trucks (18 ft stake beds, 20 ft box vans, F700 dump truck) sometimes with something in tow for a construction company as a summer job in college. That job taught me mastery of using mirrors.

I don’t know why I can’t star this post (or any post today), but I think there are a lot of bad policing actions that need to be curbed. We’ve gone too far, though, with losing all focus on policing legitimate crimes.

Agreed. Though, while there is certainly a hedge available to contractors, those hedges are still subject to market realities. They can charge more on the surface and only if they ultimately offer a better value proposition. For one, they have to pay their employees and self-employment tax and health insurance, etc.

Why would a contractor not care if his client’s business suffered a failure? I’d argue they have just as much at risk, if not more, than an internal employee. Contractors don’t want to lose clients any more than employees want to lose their jobs, and it’s generally easier to fire a contractor than it is to fire an

It’s plural, as in, “I’LL KILL ALL OF YOUS!” YOU FREAKIN’ CHOWDAHEAD!

A naturally aspirated car sounds vaguely the same across marques.”
